Climbing efficiency meets downhill performance in the Salomon Q BC Lab Ski so that you can make it up the mountain and still have the energy to charge hard downhill in a whole slew of differing terrain. A full poplar wood core offers smooth flex, stability, and plenty of rebound to help prevent sluggish turning, and CFX Superfiber reinforcement is both ultra-light and ultra-strong, giving you vibration-dampening capabilities while still keeping things light. These elements combine to bring you an amount of stability, control, and response that is rare in lightweight touring skis. Salomon gave the Q BC Lab a Utility Rocker shape to provide floatation and control in deep powder, crud, or crusty snow. Full Sandwich Sidewalls provide extraordinarily smooth ski-to-snow contact and adaptability in a variety of terrain, and Salomon's G-Spot utilizes engineered sidecut and rocker shape underfoot to focus energized grip for secure climbing. A titanal plate Tech Transfer Pad in the binding mount zone offers performance, power, and edge grip when used with tech-style bindings, and a Honeycomb Tip decreases weight in non-crucial areas.
