Wide dimensions and a light construction make the Salomon Women's Jade Alpine Ski with Z10 ti bindings the choice for intermediate to advanced powder hounds. With an 84mm waist, this women's fat ski gives you enough float for the soft stuff, yet has enough sidecut to rip down the groomers as well. Salomon's monocoque construction uses the outer skin of the ski as a structural element, thus decreasing weight and increasing performance. Inside, a foam Isocell Complex Core provides a lively feel and cuts down on chatter at high speed, which allows you to go fast or bounce short-radius turns in the powder with equal ease. A pearl topsheet and feminine graphics give this ski a pretty veneer over all the high-performance materials. Salomon's Z10 ti bindings use race-proven technology to transfer every ounce of your energy into the ski and have an adjustable DIN setting from 3 to 10.

Yes this would be a good option for an intermediate female skier, and is great for accommodating your skill as you advance. As for size, the 164cm would be a great option for all mountain carving, and will offer more stability than the 156, but the 156 is still a viable option for you if you want a ski that turns a little easier and in tighter spaces. But I think 164 is pretty much what you will need.

I just bought these skis and they're great. They are somewhat comparable to the Rossignol Attraxion and K2 Burnin' Luv, both of which I demoed. I learned how to ski last year and I am barely on black diamonds, but they work well for me -- they seem to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. And they were cheaper than the other skis I was looking at by a little bit. After all that demoing, it wasn't a tough choice.

If it is an adult boot, it will fit in this binding system. The heel and toe pieces can be moved in and out to accommodate for that.
