Stiff performance, boot sizing spot on!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

found the boot sizing spot on! But, not convinced with forward lean. I am used to much more forward flexion lean angle coming from a history of skiing tecnica boots. Sought out this boot when tecnica failed to produce a low volume boot in 2012-2013, which left me hunting for a good fitting boot with no movement of the foot. This boot fits very true, volume was ideal, it's lightweight, and it's comfy! I am a narrow ankle & low volume foot, wear sz 7.5 wmn' shoe with foot measuring 238mm length x90width, the volume on the sz 23.5 was spot-on perfect. Stiffness is over the top compared to other 100 flex boots, but regretfully could not get optimal forward positioning without any sort of boot cuff forward flexion adjustments (hint, hint..Salomon, are you reading this?). Boot felt a bit to upright. Left & Right canting a plus! Hoping to see more bells & whistles with adjustments in upcoming versions.

Solid boot for narrow, aggressive foot

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these boots now, but it took a while. I am an aggressive female skier with very narrow feet and slim ankles. This boot runs fairly narrow/tight/stiff so it's perfect for me. In fact, when I first got these boots I could barely get my feet into them. Overall these are good boots--very stiff, responsive and reliable. I feel totally comfortable skiing aggressively and pushing them to my limit. Now they are great and very comfortable but it took me ~10 ski days to break them in. At first the boots created sore spots on the top of one foot and on my ankle. Now that has gone away and I really like these boots, but I'd say these aren't the boots for either a very casual skier or someone not willing to invest the time to break them in well.

Sort of. They heated the liners up and then you put them on and stand there for a few minutes. I'm not sure that it did much though -- it still took a number of ski days to "break them in" and get comfortable.
