Throw your kids into the Salomon Elios Shoe and release them into the wilderness. Split-suede leather uppers with mesh windows both resist abrasion and breath well, and all-around padding protects your little tornado's feet as they whirl and tromp through every kind of terrain. Salomon was wise enough to add shoelace pockets to tuck away lace ends and keep them from snagging on anything—oh how well they know your kids. Contagrip rubber soles grab onto rock and dirt, keeping your kid on their feet.
Bottom Line: It takes a pretty tough shoe to survive the adventures of your wild child.

Shoes look good but the sizing ran narrow and short. Disappointed for Salomon which usually fit a wider foot. Construction looked OK but not bomber for a kid shoe that would get heavy use.

I got these for my son. He loves them, especially the bungee tie (and pocket...so cool). They seem very durable (have made it through many muddy hikes as well as playing on the playground at school -- and still look nice. They seem to have good arch and foot support. Would recommend them to anyone, especially at this price!

my 8yr old loves these shoes and they do have good support, but the rubber toe guard has worn through the top to the nylon after only two weeks. On the other hand, they only have to last 'til summer.
