The Salomon Amphib pant loves land and water equally. This fast-drying pant is perfect for cool nights on the river, canyoneering, or hiking. The Amphib recovers quickly from light rain, a splash through the river, or encounter with snow. STL softshell material at the back yoke and side waist provide durable, stretchy, water repellent comfort. Cord locks at the leg hems give you adjustability for river crossings or hot afternoons, and a gusseted crotch keeps you free to move.

I'm a practical kind of guy, that is looking for a way to simplify my life. These pants are good looking pants that I take to work, to hike, to city. Easy maintenance is a big deal for me. I'm about the get another pair, but this time I'll go for a size larger, since the pair that I've got is kind of tight. Overall, well built piece of clothing, that goes well everywhere.

These pants became my favorites right out of the box. They are comfortable and dry very fast. I have been wearing them as a mid layer during cold morning hikes that turn into lower 50s later on. With a good base layer, they keep me pretty comfortable while moving. My wife says my buns look good in them, as a bonus.
Good, but watch the cuff....

Great for hot weather, keeps the bugs and the branches off your skin, but doesn't heat you up. You just have to tie off the elastic band at the bottom of the pants so it doesn't flop around. Wrapping it back around my foot works okay. Never a problem on the trail.
