Good pack

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This hydration pack has served its purpose for me. I use it on my longer runs of 5 or more miles. It is definitely a life saver to run with water. The pack takes some getting use to, but isn't too hard to get adjusted correctly. I stash my phone in one of the side pockets, i wish there were a pocket on the front/straps for a phone. Also, the hose wobbles around if you don't clip it down. I had a clip from a different bladder that worked great. Gets the job done for what I need!

One front pocket holds a 500ml water bottle easily, the other a number of jells.

It is very stable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The pack fits great and lets you carry the essentials for a long run, I'm able to carry enough hydration/calories/gear for 10-40 miles of running without a resupply.

Please note that, this was a gift for my wife but the backpack was very large and uncomfortable for her (5'3" / ~123); right now she's using the UltrAspire Spry Race Vest (http://www.backcountry.com/ultraspire-spry-race-vest) and she's super happy.

is it waterproof? and if not is there a rain cover for it?

Responded on

Hi Kathy,
This pack is not waterproof and does not have a rain cover specifically for it. You could use a rain cover from a different pack, but there is no cover specifically fitted for this pack.

This pack is pretty small, so easy enough to put the things inside it into ziploc bags. Keeps it better organized and makes packing it more modular/efficient as well.
