Fit Narrow Which I Need

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I could not find any hiking shoes locally or online in narrow width. These run narrow, and I still needed to add insoles and an extra under heel, but then fit was fine. They felt hard as a rock until broken in. Once broken in on a few long walks they were great-I hiked 3 national parks with no blisters, pain, etc.

Very disappointed :(

I bought these shoes few months ago but unfortunately I haven't used them until last Sunday. They looked very well done and I liked the color and when I tried them at home they felt good. However, when I used them for hiking... it was disaster! I hiked 11 miles but from the very beginning I have not feel comfortable. I thought, ok, maybe they need some time but after few hours hiking I couldn't stand them. My feet (the bottom of feet) were so in pain probably due to very hard sole. Also, it appears that they are too narrow for my feet even though I ordered half size larger than my size. I'm very disappointed because it has never happened to me that I purchased expensive shoes that looked very well done and that there was something wrong with them. I would like to add an update. The next weekend I tried them again for hiking and it was the end of my hiking for the season. Those shoes are very unstable that they caused my ankle sprain with two ligaments tear. It is already three months that I dealing with the braces and physical therapy and maybe even I will have to have surgery. Those shoes ruined my vacations.
