Approach Fly Rod - 4-Piece

The Sage Approach 4-Piece Fly Rod supplies beginner anglers with a medium-fast action rod that provides superb line feel and control. Ideal for novice casters, the Approach utilizes a higher modulus graphite blank than any of Sage's previous entry-level rods (this makes the rod both lighter weight and stronger). Its four-piece configuration makes travel or storage a cinch while an oyster shell shaft blank color, ceramic stripper guides, hard chrome snake guides and tip-top, and an aluminum reel seat round out the Approaches fine qualities. In addition, a silver rod tube with divided liner protects the Approach during transport and storage. All freshwater models feature a reverse half-wells grip (Handle A), while saltwater models feature a full-wells grip with fighting butt (Handle B) to balance the rod and offer comfort when you're playing with the fish.
