Makua Rothman won the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave contest at 18. We could tell you that his signature boardies, the RVCA Men's Makua Boardshorts, will instill some of his fearless spirit and remake you as a man, but that'd be baloney. He's been surfing since the age of two, towing into big waves since his early teens, and generally charging all his life. Just use 'em as inspiration, in the hope you can measure up. Built big-wave burly with triple-stitched 4-way stretch fabric, they'll handle your home break with ease.

Fast drying and stretchy!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These shorts are awesome. The material is so soft and stretchy and dries quickly which is key in my opinion. :) A must have for the wardrobe!

Comfortable, quick-dry, durable

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I have used these shorts for boating and they are excellent!

They are perfect knee length: long enough to be comfortable, but short enough that they allow you to bend your knees when they are wet. (ie. you can get out of the pool, or onto the deck of the boat without your knees getting caught by the length of the swim short.

They fit me true to size and they have a zipper and a perfect sized velcro patch along with the shoelace strings to keep them on your waist. (The small velcro patch reduces the possibility of snagging the shoelace strings)
