Ruffwear Web Master Harness - 2007 BCS

Our pup gets so excited when she sees this harness come out because it means one of two things: we are going for a car ride, or we are going on a hike. Either way, once the harness is on, she is on her best behavior (we're not sure if it is because she doesn't want us to change our mind, or if she thinks it's time to work). Our dog Jaeger is a 60 lbs lab/basset mix (looks like a lab with half the legs) who has a lot of energy and hops, but the short legs make it difficult to jump in and out of the truck, or climb over boulders. The harness allows us to easily assist/lift her over rough terrain, and it is great for securing a doggie seat belt to. It is as the manufacturer suggests too, it has had some really ruff (rough) wear and has held up fantastically. If you are interested in the packs too, you should check them out, because many come with this harness and are detachable so the harness can be worn alone!

I bought this harness on the recommendation of my canine rehab therapist to help my 13 year old 100+ pound Newfie when her back legs started giving out. It's like attaching a handle that lets us help her out if her legs start to buckle. I don't know what I would have done without it. I got the M for her, and it's worked out great. I loved it so much I bought two more in a size S for my 55 pound Golden Retrievers. My 11 month old pup was hard to control on walks, and I find that she has calmed down considerably with this harness. I think it works like those "anxiety wraps" for horses. And when she does pull, the force is distributed evenly over her body. I just wish they made a beige color; the black ones I bought are covered in light blond hair. All in all, this is one sweet product.

When I put this harness I my staffordshire terrier, she gets as excited as a husky on race day. She pulls me on my skateboard at 15-25 miles an hour for 5+ miles. I picked up this harness a couple of years ago to replace a worn out simple strap one, and I absolutely love it. It has a little stretch to it to ease into accelerations and has shown no wear at all. My 45 pound dog is a size small.

This harness is one of the best items I've purchased for my dog, from anywhere. I feel secure knowing he won't slip out and that I'm not hurting him if he tugs at the leash. Everybody I come across loves the way the harness looks. They all get a kick out of it when I pick him up by the handle. This is a great product.
