Urban Sprawl Dog Bed

Not only does the Ruffwear Urban Sprawl Dog Bed's microsuede top give your pup a plush place to sleep, but its removable cover lets you toss it into the washing machine for easy cleaning. Ruffwear used polyfill baffling to provide long-lasting loft for maximum doggy comfort. A non-slip base keeps the Urban Sprawl Bed from sliding around the kitchen floor, and side handles help you move this cushy pad from room to room.

Bottom Line: Give your dog a comfortable place to chill.

$hipping cost prohibitive

Wanted to get this on steepandcheap, but shipping was as much as the item itself, making it full price again. I understand, it's probably large and bulky, but I've seen 10oz. Arcteryx shirts for $17 that could practically be stuffed into an envelope costing $13 to ship to Juneau. This item had a $35 USPS tag to get here. Another item I had to pass up because shipping negated any savings...

If you start sleeping on this bed, maybe your dog will sleep in this bed also. Then again, your bed would be completely free, so maybe not!

Great Dog Bed

Our 80 pound dog LOVES this bed! Cover is very easy to remove and wash at home. Inner mattress is also washable at commercial laundry. Well worth the price - will last a long time.

The fabric is 600 denier polyester, which is pretty dang tough. Not *quite* as tough as the ballistic nylon that you'd find in luggage or the signature fabric of Timbuk2 bags, but still pretty dang tough.Your puppy would be lucky to have this for a bed.

Awesome Dog Bed

These beds hold up to tough use for years. The removeable cover is a very easy wash, just throw it in the washer!

Sturdy bed, Larger than anticipated

Be careful when you unpack this bed from the shipping box. If you slice through the tape with a utility knife, you'll probably knick the bed like I did (not smart since the box said not to open with a knife). Good news is the nylon part of the bed patches quite nicely with a tent or nylon jacket repair kit.

As for be bed, I ordered the large size and it is huge (the handle is great). One of my dogs likes it. The other one isn't so sure as air does get trapped in the bed to some extent and "exhales" as the dog steps on it to lie down. A whimpy dog might find it unsettling.

The one improvement I'd make is to have a 3" layer of firmer foam as the base layer covered with 3" of the outdoor polyfill baffling.

Cost-wise, you can't make these beds for the 20% off price at Back Country. The fiberfill alone (which is the type that is used in outdoor furniture that can be hosed/washed and does not hold odors) would cost about $70 retail.

My Lab murdered her bed

By:

Well this is an awesome looking/functional bed (non slip/stayed clean), just not durable enough. I understand the bed did not destroy itself.... I have heard round beds last the longest since it is harder to chew.
