Leash funtaskic!

We just got our Omnijore Joring System and after 2 uses am in love with it for when the pooch must be on a leash. He had no issues adapting to the harness and loved the length of the lead as did I. We didn't use the belly strap on the harness for our runs (the instructions say it is optional), I couldn't find a reason to keep it on and don't see it being used with our dog. When off lead he ran as freely as he normally would. We purchased a medium, he is about 70#'s, it seems to fit him perfect. The Human hipbelt is comfortable, it is a little stiff out of the package but should soften with wear.

would this be good for hiking? or would the person harness be to restricting?

I think this would be fantastic for hiking! The harness isn't too restricting at all, you don't have to use the leg loops, although I've not found them to be an issue as of yet. There is plenty of lead for your dog to walk in-front of you and since the dog is hooked to the hipbelt it leaves your hands free.

I have an ~50lbs, thin-framed aussie mix, and the small fits him well. It was really fun getting him to pull me around snowy trails in a saucer. As the weather heats up, I'm looking forward to trying it out with the mountain bike. It really wears him out quickly.

One downside, the "quick release" system is a bit of a pain to thread, and it can release inadvertently if you don't close it 100%.
