- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
My dog loves this toy it flys straight and you can throw it far I have been using it daily for six months and it shows very little wear.
Not bad, but too pricey
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Was not as big as I thought it was, but that did not matter. My dogs loved it. The only problem is that it was torn apart w/in 2 weeks. I bought 2 so I have a replacement, but not worth $15. I spent $12 on the same toy (a bigger size) at REI. That one lasted over a month. Oh well, sometimes you end up spending more for something than you want. Now I know, and will not purchase this item again unless it is $8 or less.
This is by far the best frisbee for dogs I've ever used and we've been through alot. Durable, floats, flies and the hounds are far too busy fetching to even care about chewing
It does the job!
Once you get the hang of throwing it right, this frisbee provides hours of enjoyment for my feisty Jack Russell Terrier. She practically shredded through the other nylon frisbees I used to buy her but this one is much more durable so it's definitely worth the money spent on it.
Excellent Dog Toy
I bought this toy as a gift to give my friends yellow lab "Luca" for faithfully sleeping on my cold and wet feet all night during a January rain storm on a camping trip in Hoosier National Forrest. Luca loved the gift! It is durable but easy on her gums. It flies well taboot...A+ product.
Best frisbee hands down!
2 years now, and not a single sing of wear and tear! it floats like a regular frisbee. I have bought numerous others that have covers and are "made to last" but i promise you this, there is not a frisbee around that can out last this one!
hi does anyone know if it would be good...
hi does anyone know if it would be good for a watertoy and floats good? it has foam in it but wondered if it is the kind that repels water
Hands Down the BEST
This nylon frisbee lasts FOREVER - my Lab chews and destroys toys in days, but this thing has lasted over a year with hardly any show of wear. Even after playing in the water or getting soaked with slobber, it dries out and is good as new for the next play session. Get one!
Fun toy for the pup and owner.
my dog is too un-coordinated to catch this but he still has fun chasing it around. I like that he can't chew it apart (I he really tried he could, but the last plastic one i had lasted 1 day).
playing fetch in the winter
This is the size L Hover Craft, the Small is too small for my dog and doesn't seem to fly as well as the L size.
My pup's favorite
This frisbee doesn't hurt his mouth/teeth when he catches it. He also likes to play tug with other dogs and this lasts quite a while when he uses it for that - I actually have one for just tugging and one for fetching. It really does stand up to its name. Flies really well too!
Glides like it's in the Ice Capades!
This disk is definitely worthy of the name "Ruffwear"! My Chessie *loves* his (plastic dog disk), but I wasn't thrilled with the way the plastic was scuffing up his gums/lips (he can get a bit over-enthusiastic when it comes time to play with it). The Ruffwear Hover Craft is gentle on his mouth, retains its shape beautifully, and glides like it belongs in the Ice Capades!
It should be noted that Ruffwear warns the human element in the dog-disk-playing-duo that the Hover Craft is not meant to be left unsupervised with the dog, or used for games like 'tug-of-war'; however, I have to admit that there have been occasions when my Chessie just didn't want to let go of his new-found love, and a bit of 'tugging' ensued between us. In addition, he likes to chase my other two dogs around with it, and taunt them to come play, so needless to say, the disk has seen its fare share of 'less than ideal' play. None the less, it has held up *really* well, and were it not for the dirt and slobber on it, it would still look like new!
This disk is easy to clean, easy to pack for hiking/camping/beach trips, and just down-right fun to play with. (My husband and I are often tempted to play monkey-in-the-middle with our dog, since we love throwing it back and forth to each other too!)
Ruffwear makes some awesome products, and the Hover Craft is definitely helping them retain their excellent reputation. You won't regret this buy!
