Description

A canine crashpad for camp naps and road trips.

Whether you’re in the car or hanging at the crags, give your best friend a comfy place to rest with the Ruffwear Flophouse Foam Dog Pad. Thanks to multiple foam layers of varying density, this pad provides durable support that won’t compress over time. And since dogs aren’t known for keeping a clean bed, Ruffwear added integrated drain holes to let you hose off and hang up the pad after a big trip.

An easy to clean, portable dog bed.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bed folds in half with a briefcase-type handle at the top of the inside. As you can see in my picture below, it rolls up to about the size of a sleeping pad. The zipper on the side allows you to remove one of the foam inserts for washing, and the material is durable and unlikely to show any wear. It's not plush, but it does have a nice amount of cushion.

My complaint is really my dog's, for whatever reason, she does not like lying on it and prefers other, softer, surfaces. I'm returning it for something plush.

how tight can you roll this up without destroying the integrity of the foam?

You can roll it up so that it's a little bit bulkier than a z-rest sleeping bad. (Approx. 6'')

You could probably roll it up a little tighter that that, but I wouldn't for the sake of the foam's integrity (as you pointed out).
