Ruffwear Flat Out Dog Leash - 2008 BCS

Perfect leash. It is adjustable, so I use it for running. The clip makes this so easy, as I adjust the loop to fit my waist, then just clip it together, and we're off for a run! When we're done running, I un-clip it and use it as a normal leash! And I can clip my dog outside the coffee shop without taking the leash off of him! I've had mine for about 3 years, and have used it daily. Highly recommended!

Five minutes into my first walk with this leash, I needed to shorten up this leash suddenly, and the material zipped right through my fingers, taking a couple of layers of skin off the inside of my hand in the process. I've owned dogs for years and never had a leash tear my hand up this badly. The material on the "woody" color is a lot thinner and less soft than the solid colors, and I think that was part of the problem. I ordered two leashes, one in Woody and one in Glacial Blue but will be returning both.

I use this leash every day and it's been great so far. It's nice to take the dog out running too as I can clip it around my waist and be hands free.

Bought one of these for my girlfriend's dog and they love it. The traffic loop comes in handy to rein her dog in when he gets too exited. The padding on the handle loop saves your hand when he pulls too. He is still a 38lb puppy after all.

The handle to waist conversion was awesome while cooking and doing other things around the campsite. We were able to keep him out of trouble by keeping him close by and still have both hands free. I'm pretty sure the dog preferred staying with everyone rather then being on a tie-out.

Unfortunately the little thumb tab for the E-Z snap hook snapped off. But before I could finish processing the return to Backcountry.com, Ruffwear sent me out a new one. Yay!

Highly recommend this least to any dog owner.

My roomie has this leash and I liked the versatility of it, so I thought I'd try it for myself. I got this for my first backcountry trip with the pup and absolutely loved it. The adjustable buckle was great for hitching him to anything while I was pumping water, cooking, or otherwise couldn't keep an eye on him. The second handle was great for keeping him in control when we were passing people on the trail and he was excited to say hi. I recommend this leash to anyone.

This leash is absolutely perfect. The strap is thick and durable. The collar clip is metal, not plastic like a lot of the other leashes. The handle is great too - It has clip on it so you can attach it to poles or whatever you may need to anchor your dog too. The size of the loop adjusts too so you can anchor them around pretty much anything. The size adjust can also be used to shorten the leash. My dog is a puppy right now, but when he grows up I am sure that the additional handle right next to the collar will be nice in case I need to keep him close. This is a fantastic leash - I highly recommend it for anyone with a larger dog.

This leash was exceptional in every way. It could have been a bit thicker, but it is tough anyway.

This leash was awesome! My puppy was left unattended with it and she chewed through one end. It was not the fault of the product in any way! I liked it so much that I ordered a new one that afternoon!
