Doubleback Harness

Your dog usually lays the charm on thick when she sees you loading up your ropes, harnesses, and approach shoes, but sometimes the terrain is a bit too techy for her very limited climbing skills. The good news is that you'll be able to bring her along when you pack the Ruffwear Doubleback Harness. Great for the crag, steep slabs, and narrow canyons, the Doubleback is a secure harness that allows you to lower your pooch down drops too big for her to handle, and it has stowable rear leg straps, so  you can go ahead and leave it on her when you know another sketchy section of trail is ahead.

Made for Adventuring

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

If you're planning on taking your dog canyoneering, rappelling, paragliding.... this is the harness you want to buy. The handle on the back is perfect for assisting them up and over on-trail obstacles, but it also doubles as a tie-in point for more serious adventures where your dog needs to be securely lowered. Please note: You DO have to manually double-back these buckles for them to be secure.
