Description

Makes it easy for Fido to stay hydrated.

Unless your dog is really adept at drinking from a stream from a water bottle, or you don't mind spilling a lot of the precious fluid on the ground, you want to be carrying the Ruffwear Bivy Dog Bowl on your canine treks. This collapsible bowl's seam-free, welded fabric technology creates a watertight seal to hold your pup's water during pit stops on the trail. Its stable shape and no-slip bottom allows for easy eating and drinking, and the bowl cleans up easily when you're done. The Bivy bowl collapses into a small package, so you can easily carry it in your backpack or even tuck it into your pooch's special doggy pack.

Perfect for being on the go!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought this bowl for my dog! We are constantly on the go and traveling and it is a dream to have a bowl for water/food. Will probably buy the cinch bowl next for his food so that he has two bowls for traveling.

Happy Hydrated Doggie

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked up this little bowl for my hiking buddy. He likes that he doesn't need to share out of my water bottle anymore. I like how lightweight his bowl is and that it doesn't leak. We are both pretty happy and all of his dog friends are super jealous.

Another awesome feature: Carabiner loop for easy transport.

pack it and forget it

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

even though my dog is pretty big, i ordered the smaller option so it wouldnt take so much water to fill it. i keep it in my car with all my riding gear and it works great.

Pack it with you...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I feel like I now have bowls for a small army of dogs, but I love this Bivy bowl. It is light weight, easy to pack, durable, does not leak, and it is my go to for every trip. We have a few of the large and small size. I find the large is perfect as a base camp water bowl, but the small ones are easy to fold up and fit even in a small pet pack. If your dog is a little odd about putting their face into a smaller entrance, you may want to opt for the large as the opening on the small is about 4 inches across.

Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This product takes up little space in your pack, weighs less than you'd think, and the pooches love seeing it.

Quality, as usual per Ruffwear.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love to take my 76 lb., year old Shepherd mix hiking, biking and hunting and he loves it too. The one problem is that he guzzles water like there's no tomorrow. I needed something that could hold a fair amount of water, that was easy to pack in/out, and could handle some abuse. This bowl is great. It does everything it claims to (which is rare) and is definitely a "no fluff, no fuss" product. This bowl is so straightforward bombproof that I bought a second one for day-long excursions when the dog would need food.

Great travel dog bowl.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We got this bowl to replace our Ruffwear Quencher dog bowl (http://www.backcountry.com/ruffwear-quencher-dog-bowl?rr=t), which was starting to lose it's waterproof-ness over the last 5 years. The Bivy dog bowl is nice and light, with welded seams, it will probably never leak. If you need a great dog bowl, this is the one.

Durable Dog Bowl

This is a very durable bowl, it will last for years! I love how the bowl collapses down small, I usually put this in my dog's backpack for him to carry on the trails. I grabbed the size M since my dog is quite large, its a great size for his food and water.

Responded on

How do you collapse the bowl? I just ordered it, but could not quite figure out how to collapse it without disfiguring it or ruining it.

Responded on

Hey Hokie! Thanks for your question. You just need to easily push down on the top of the bowl, it should just squish down into the bottom of the bowl. It does disfigure while collapsed but once you push the top back up, the bowls shape comes back to normal. Let me know if this helps! If you still can't get it to work, then I can try to take a video of mine!!

Indestructible

I've stuffed this bowl in places I was sure would distort it's shape, but it always pops back as if nothing ever happened. The rubber bottom grips nice on almost any surface, too.

Durable and Packable

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bowl is durable, leak-proof, and my dog loves it. In my experience, it is best packed down by rolling, not folding.

Nice Durable Bowl

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a bowl we take on every hike. Great for holding water and unlike many of the dog bowls out there is actually does not leak. You can fold it in half or roll it up and it seems to do just fine. I also love that the bowl has a wider opening than other brands. My dogs are very odd about sticking their faces into anything like this and they are not bothered at all by this one.

nice portable bowl

it comes as a stiff, yet pliable, plastic coated fabric material that stands up nicely on it's own. this makes folding non-trivial - not hard, but it is more bending it into your sack or pocket as opposed to folding.

Very Convenient

I love the convenience of this dog bowl! However we got a medium and we're thinking about exchanging it for a small because of the amount of water we would have to carry around on hiking trips in order to fill up the bowl enough. Even though we just got this bowl, I can see what Michael said about it losing its shape. It is very sturdy now, but I can see it getting kind of worn and warped after several months of wear and tear. But for now, I am very happy with the function of this bowl.

does the job

It does the job intended for the first few months. after a while i found it to be losing shape and doesn't stand-up like it used to. easily cleaned and packed.
