Fly through the park in the Roxy Women's Black Magic Skis. These twintip skis give plenty of pop off the rails and have the width to float through pure powder days. The Black Magic Skis' spring-blade technology layers fiberglass through the middle of the ski, which helps smooth out your landings. With a wide shovel and 92mm underfoot, the Black Magic Ski takes you out of the park to seek out jumps in backcountry.
Bottom Line: Conjuring up the spirits of dead people won't help you rip on the slopes. Luckily, Roxy's Black Magic Skis will.
I was apprehensive about buying an alpine ski for tele, but the ski was such a good buy I decided to try it. I've been skiing the K2 Instinct/ Schi Devil the past 4 seasons and liked that they were a descent all mountain/all condition women's ski. After reading the reviews on the Roxy from other women looking for the same thing, I bought these. First day out was amazing! I grew up racing 200cm, skied 174cm Schi Devil, and got the 166cm. I was nervous they wouldn't be long enough for me. I didn't even notice because they are so stable underfoot. I love bumps and was hoping for a quick turning ski. They are super quick. Great in powder. Great in crud. I'm so happy I took a chance. And I might admit to loving the graphics.
Took a chance and got these a few weeks ago wanting something wider for powder than my all mountain volkl attiva tierra's. All I can say is that I may never ride my volkl's again. These were awesome thru some nice powder in WInter Park, plowed thru some choppy spots, and they even did well on the groomers making nice big turns. Only downside I felt was quickness on short turns, but otherwise, these just ripped. I was a little concerned with length (got the 166's) being 5'7" 135#, but they did suprisingly well even in the bumps. All around awesome ski!

I skied the Black Magic for the first time today in Vail and was super impressed. I bought these on somewhat of whim and they are definitely worth every penny.
Women's skis can be kind of hit and miss in general, and often end up being too soft for girls who can rip on whatever the mountain dishes out. I've had a couple of sub-par experiences with K2's, which were forgiving, but put them on edge with speed and they would chatter like crazy. They were great on powder days but drove me a little nuts the other 90% of the time when it's tracked out, crudded up, or hard packed.
These skis ruled in the crud, the trees, the bumps, big turns on the groomers...and we're talking early season snow here people. I can't wait to get them out on a big snow day. They have great turn initiation and feel light but solid underfoot, handled both short and long radius turns like a champ. The width underfoot wasn't an issue at all on the fast groomers. They are stiff and solid, but not unforgiving...I could charge and feel confident.
Rumor has it that Roxy's parent company, Dynastar, perhaps had a hand in the design of these skis - and if they did, they did a damn good job. I also put on a pair of the Roxy Black Magic bindings and they are perfect.
All in all, I'm super psyched about these skis and if you are a girl who likes to ski the big mountains out West you will not be disappointed.
Roxy built this one right. Fat enough to bust through crud, float in powder and provide stability at speed and on steeps. Super light swingweight means tight trees and bumps are no problem. Add to that plenty of energy to rip in the park and pipe. No need to change out skis, these do it all! Finally a ski company understands the desires of us ladies. Thanks!
Finally a women's ski that lives up to the hype! This isn't some toned down, softer flexing girly ski! The Black Magic rocks! Crud, steeps and pow? It eats them for breakfast and has you longing for more! Once you try these big mountain beauties that can still throw down in the park, you will empty out your quiver. This ski can do it all! Thank you Roxy!
Thank you Roxy for making a burly woman's ski that handles like a dream through tight tree runs and steep, rocky chutes. I can even take this ski out in icy, crusty conditions with confidence. The Black Magics are also a favorite of mine on wet powder days. Gotta hand it to Roxy for being innovative with graphics and continue to rock their unique style.
Now you see her... Now you don't! Finally a woman's ski that lets girls show how crafty they really are. There is nothing "girly" about this ski other than the stylish look. The wide under foot and fat curved tips, accompanied by the ideal amount of spring, allows you to float in the deepest of powder without losing speed or control. Best of all there is no limitation with this ski; the side cut is so powerful your skis will never creep out from under you, even in the iciest conditions. The Black Magic is the first female ski I can attest can handle any terrain and any condition!
The Black Magic is by far the most powerful female ski on the market. It holds an edge through the iciest of conditions - all while giving you enough pop to float and charge through the powder! This ski handles all snow conditions and really lets you charge!
This ski is appropriately named because it works like magic. I have had the opportunity to ski it in several conditions and it is so versatile! It is super fun in the pow. It has a nice, even flex and is fat enough that is offers great floatation. However, in the crud it moves through anything and is a more powerful ski than I anticipated. It also performs surprisingly well in the bumps. It is quick enough edge to edge that it can handle fast transition. Also, the graphics are so sweet. Who doesn't love skulls and crossbones with hearts for eyes?
I was apprehensive about buying an alpine ski for tele, but the ski was such a good buy I decided to try it. I've been skiing the K2 Instinct/ Schi more...
Took a chance and got these a few weeks ago wanting something wider for powder than my all mountain volkl attiva tierra's. All I can say is that I more...
