It's been a week since the last storm, the next dump doesn't look like it's coming any time soon, and even your best hidden stashes at the resort are beat. But don't worry, the Roxy Banana Smoothie EC2 women's splitboard will carry you past the ropes and into pristine turns, long after those less committed have gone home grumbling. Running on Roxy's EC2 BTX profile, the Smoothie has rocker between the feet and a mild elliptical camber in the tip and tail. The result is deep snow float with plenty of control on hardpack. The true twin shape lends itself to unrestricted backcountry freestyle, but it's just as happy with a setback stance chasing big turns down exposed faces. Leave the Joeys back at the resort, because the powder isn't done yet.

The Banana Smoothie gets Roxy's EC2 BTX profile. That means that there's rocker between the feet for float, and mild elliptical camber in the tip and tail, for control without catching edges. Magne-Traction places bumps along the edge, for tenacious edgehold, especially when traversing wind-blown ridgelines. The true twin shape is perfect for backcountry freestyle, or you can set back your stance for high speed shredding. The sintered 9900 base is highly porous so it holds a bunch of wax and slides crazy fast. And it's held together with Karakoram clips, so it rides like a snowboard, not two skis stuck together.

love it!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Fun to ride, lightweight, and love the graphics! Definitely a mervin manufacturing product :) I like the karokoram clips too and got some of their bindings, which I think gives a more solid ride. I've been splitboarding for years on a home made board, and could not be happier with the upgrade. Can't beat this board for the price and looking forward to taking it on some bigger terrain :)
