First things first—take a moment to get all the Freebird jokes out of your system.
Now that you've done that, we can talk for real about the Free Bird 100 Ski Boot from Roxa. The top-end shoe in the company's freestyle collection, it's a 100-flexing, 99mm-lasted, progressive park-slaying machine, with all the bells and whistles to take your air game to the next level. Roxa made it with a three-piece Cabrio design, instead of the usual two-piece design, so the boot wraps around your foot snugly instead of squeezing it into the shell. This also allows the tongue to flex smoothly for a progressive feel that traditional boots can't match, and also makes entry and exit easy, because the tongue pivots all the way forward so you can slip your foot in and out without crying.
Inside, Roxa endowed the Free Bird with an Intuition Free Bird heat-moldable liner, a wrap-style liner that can be shaped to your foot for a precise fit and killer performance. The boot locks down via three micro-adjustable buckles, the top of which is Roxa's Snap Closure 360 Big Buckle, which pulls two plastic plates together across the cuff for increased power and control. A shock-absorbing bootboard takes the sting out of hard stomps, and the Roxgrip sole plate provides better traction on slick surfaces. The Free Bird also comes with canting adjustment and a removable spoiler, so you can dial in the forward lean to suit your style.
