The Rossignol Scratch BC Alpine Ski is a super-fat twintip deep-snow monster. Designed for backcountry jibbers, the fattest ski made by Rossignol has become a big-mountain ruler. With a solid 98mm underfoot, this guy is focused on deep pow and hucking backcountry cliff bands. Whether you hike, ride a sled or catch a lift to find your stash or your jumps, you'll find the BC quickly becomes the only set of sticks you'll want to stand on. Thirty-degree sidewalls make for a lighter ski, and changing edges feels like butta. Two binding mounting points give you options to mount the BC as a spinny jibber or as a more traditional all-mountain ripper. Rossignol's THC core combines Isocore for liveliness and snap, wood for response and ski/snow feel, and Microcell for shock absorption.

Bottom Line: Floats through the powder as well as it flies through the air.

Rossignol Scratch

These skis are amazing. I just got them and they ski really well. If you’re looking for some nice all-around twintips these are the ones. They’re awesome in the park and even more incredible in deep powder, I highly recommend them.

These skis are much different from the years before. They are still a really fun ski, but there is a lot more to them now. Highly recommended for any powder day!

Raising the bar

I tried these at Rossi's demo day at the end of last season. The conditions were horrid: wet, heavy crud and extreme hardpack with mud patches. They skied everything, and that included jumping the ropes to ski 'blue ice' on the windswept southeast face. The new Scratch BC skied anything I could find as if it was a green groomer. It even held and carved on the boilerplate ice-covered double-black with moguls! Just when you thought they might be resting on past accolades, Rossignol steps up and pulls off a switch 1440 d-spin AND stomps the landing!

ski rips

I had a chance to ski the new Scratch BC from Rossi last spring and this new version rips. It is much fatter and burlier than the old scratch. It powers through crud and manky snow as well as the old B3 but with all the benefits of a twin. I'm stoked to buy a pair.
