The Rossignol BC X11 Boot provides the burliest support and power available in a soft backcountry touring boot. Rossignol designed this boot to drive wide, lightweight, metal edged backcountry skis through steep terrain while providing all day comfort. The BC X11 keeps your feet dry with its zippered waterproof cover. The inner locking lace system and dual micro-ratcheting buckles offer bomber support, while the thermoformable liner ensures a precise fit.
Bottom Line: Who says you can’t shred the steeps in a soft boot?
If you are wanting the beefiest boot available while staying in the leather category this baby is it! This boot is freaking amazing. This year's model has a stiffer sole to prevent lateral flex, while staying very mobile for forward flex. This thing lets me make sweet telemark turns on the downhill and still bend and flex to get some kick and glide going on the flats. I originally tried this boot with the Karhu XCD Guide, but found that for turning power, you probably are going to want to go to a very light plastic such as the Garmont Excursion. However, I use this boot now with a Karhu 10th Mountain and a Voile 3-pin Cable binding setup. This setup is a serious all around back country setup. Look for something between the Fischer Outtabounds and the Karhu 10th Mountain for a ski that you can really drive and power with this boot. Seriously, this boot is so warm that I literally only wear a very thin Injinji Outdoor sock in sub zero weather. Get this boot!!

I am so in love with these boots! They offer the best of both worlds for me: stiff enough to carve out nice, precise tele turns, and yet soft enough to give adequate kick and flexibility when spending the day touring through flats or rolling hills. They required absolutely no break-in period, and as someone who has gotten blisters from almost every pair of boots I have ever worn I was surprised to discover that these gave me no troubles at all. These boots are toasty warm even on the coldest days. I can't recommend them enough!
Over all very impressed after a few times out with these. Very comfortable from the first use and plenty of room in the toe box! I had tried the Alpina 2075's and thought they were heavy for the amount of support you got and a lot less comfortable. A few notes on the BC X11: -Ratchet straps are very short, don't know why they didn't make them a little longer. This can make it less than easy to catch the first tooth but over all work well. -I have never worn anything other than a size 46 and I ended up with a 47 on these.
Hello, I am looking at the Ross. x11 BC ski boot . I am female with an american shoe size of 8, depending on width of boot. What size would you recommend??
For those with sizing questions: My street shoe size is 11; when I measure my feet, they are around 10-5/8 to 10-3/4...However, my toe area is wide and my ankles and heels are narrow. I tried the 45 and 46. Ideally, I think I would be a 45.5 in this boot, but since they don't make this size, I went with the comfort fit of the 46. If it was a plastic boot with a liner, I might have gone down a size. However, I did not feel the 45 offered more support than the 46 - it was just tighter in the toes. I'm psyched to try these out. I also have a burlier 3-buckle plastic boot/wide ski setup I use at the resort. I'm curious to see how these Rossi's turn on a pitch. I have also used the Karhu Sirius - those are not stiff enough in the ankle to make decent turns. The Rossi's are softer in the toes but stiffer in the ankle, which is a good thing.
I bought a pair of these from Berg's in Eugene a few weeks ago.I asked the salesman if they had any problems with the strap buckles and he said he hadn't heard of any - then he told me that early models of this boot had zipper problems. And that the company had improved the design.I was impressed that he volunteered the information and I hope he is correct about Rossignol improving the zipper.I love these boots! Most comfort and most control I've ever had in a XCD boot.Previous best was Asolo Extremes - which I liked but the X 11 is so much better.Very flexible for touring and walking - but suprising amounts of turning ability. They feel really light when I'm wearing them.I love 'em!
