The Rossignol BC Automatic Nordic Ski Binding gives you the power and stability to venture off the beaten path and into the backcountry. The touring binding's burly 15mm toe bar lends lateral stiffness so your ski won't wash out when you're traversing steep slopes. Twin NNN ridges lock into the boot's heel, providing control in all conditions while flex-enabling notches in the plate binding preserve the ski's natural flex. The Automatic feature means you can simply step into the binding and press a button with your ski pole or hand to take off the ski –no more fumbling with your bindings when you could be out skiing. Since the BC Automatic Binding has a larger toe bar and wider guiding groves, it will only work with Rossignol BC and Alpina BC boots.

Bottom Line: Rossignol BC Automatic Nordic Ski Binding provides more control and confidence for off-trail excursions.

Here are a few skis that would mate well with a BC boot and the NNN-BC Rossignol Auto Nordic binding: Salomon XADV 69, Madshus Eon, Rossignol BC70. Hope this helps.

Sarah regarding the NNN compatibility with NNN BC. The answer is no. The "Backcountry" boots are different...

Both Rottefella and Rossignol make a BC Auto NNN binding--Rossi

Both Rottefella and Rossignol make a BC Auto NNN binding--Rossi uses Stainless steel and Rottef uses regular steel--why the difference? Which is better, and WHY? (Rossi sells for $4 less than Rotte) Which works better and holds up better? Thanks!

I think it is a preference thing. Regular stell is stronger... stainless resists the elements a little better. They will both get trashed if you leave your skiis outside all season.
