One piece of indispensable gear we never head into the backcountry without is an adjustable pole. The Rossignol BC Adjustable Pole is no exception. This adjustable Nordic skiing pole can be shortened or lengthened depending on terrain and preference. Rossignol added two sets of different-sized baskets for use in the track or in the backcountry.

Bottom Line: The Rossignol BC Adjustable Pole changes to suit your needs.

Pretty good poles - locking mechanism not so great at shorter lengths

I like the poles in general.

The only minor annoyance is that the locking mechanism doesn't seem to work as well at the lower lengths that are marked (i.e. at 120cm - 115cm). It looks like the pole starts to taper starting at 120cm which is probably the culprit here.

It's just a standard twist lock (twist one way to open, the other to close), and you can set it at any position.
