The Rossignol Bandit B78 Alpine Ski takes you anywhere you want to go on any mountain—from the East Coast to the Cascades. Add the Axium 120 Binding and you have a combo that's ready to rail. The Bandit B78 floats through pow when you're out West and carves the clear blue ice of the East. If you hit a few bumps along the way, this all-mountain carver sucks those up too. Rossignol's Free Absorber technology increases ski-to-snow contact, so you'll feel a smooth, solid arc devoid of chatter. An aluminum insert in the tip of the ski, which Rossignol calls Shark Nose technology, increases torsional rigidity for more control at high speeds. This allows the ski to blast through the chopped snow without being deflected. Drive the Bandit B78 with the strong, but lightweight Axium 120 Binding. With its 12-DIN rating and solid ski-to-binding power transmission, the Axium 120 pushes the Bandit B78 without backing down.

Bottom Line: Power to carve and the versatility to explore.

Great all around

Got these skis in November for about half price and I haven't taken my pure carving skis out since. I've skied everything the east has to offer and so far I've had no issues. A previously mentioned, the B78s don't float like a pure powder ski but if you can only have one pair of skis this is a great choice.

B78s live up to their hype

By:

I broke into the spiffy new B78s with Axium 120 integrated bindings in Copper Mountain and am thrilled how well they performed. They feel softer than their graphix would have you believe, but they are as mighty as can be. I am 6'6" and 220 Lbs, and push the carves quite a bit. These babies were taking it and then some.

I tried various loading dynamics and they were there with me whatever way I pushed them.

I had the old B2s a few years ago, and I can say the integrated bindings and new geometry are remarkable improvements.

Add to this an unimaginable price I paid (half-price), and you have a truly happy monki here...
