Angus Snowboard - Wide

OK, so you have clown feet. Lots of companies make wide snowboards for dudes like you, but how about a wide board with the new rocker technology? Rossignol has you covered. The Angus Wide snowboard uses an early rise tip and tail with 1mm of traditional camber between your bindings for all the advantages of rocker camber in the powder and standard camber on hardpack. Rossignol calls it AmpTek technology and they’ve been kind enough to hook it up to a wide platform. Now you can ride the same technology as the tiny-footed minions you call friends.

  • Amptek technology gives you all the benefits of rocker while maintaining the ability to carve on hardpack
  • Wide shape eliminates toe and heel drag for guys with big feet
  • Wood CK Core keeps it light and springy

Bottom Line: New-school technology designed with kindness for society’s outcasts.

Rossignol Angus Snowboard

This board is AMAZING. I have used it on crusty snow, slushy snow, packed powder, deep fluffy powder, etc. It excels in all conditions. The reverse camber plus amptek is an amazing combination. Great in powder, stable on groomers or hardpack, absolutely blasts thru crud, which on Mt Hood happens pretty early in the day. I have two other boards...a Burton Malolo with Cartel EST bindings, and a GNU Altered Genetics with Union Force bindings. My favorite snowboard is the Rossignol Angus (162MW). My favorite thing about it (aside from the sick graphics by Alex Pardee) is the consistency and smoothness of turn initiation on it -- smooth, deliberate and predictably precise. I love this board. Rossignol nailed the recipe on this one!
PS, Backcountry is equally superb -- great customer service, product selection and super speedy shipping. It's easy to tell they are trying to be the best and do things differently.

Why does the wide version still has the same width as the regular?

Why does the wide version still has the same width as the regular? On Rossingol they are different, but here it says 9.8 inch = 24.9 cm which is the same as the non wide version. Do you have any of the wides in stock?

Awesome board

This board is outstanding. I've ridden it on groomers, 3 feet of powder, hiked backcountry, slush and crud, basically anywhere and it eats up everything. Just the right amount of reverse camber where it performs very well on all parts of the mountain.

It is definitely best in powder, float is amazing, turns are effortless, SHREDS.

If there is a drawback its that, as you will find with almost any reverse camber, it doesnt bite into the mountain like a regular-camber board, so holding an edge on super steep hard pack is tricky and sometimes impossible. But, if you ride a reverse camber board, thats just the way it is. The tradeoff you get in any good snow is well worth it.

This board basically never catches an edge. It flies through groomer, leg burn on flats is reduced by a ton. Buttery smooth.

the stiffer tail is nice as it adds a little snap when you come out of turns.

Really I cant say enough good things about this board. first day I rode it, my friends got sick of hearing me rave about how badass this thing is.

Graphics werent exactly my cup of tea, but after I got it, the top sheet has several different semi-transparent layers that look really cool in the sun. Get a good amount of compliments on it too.

Anyways, buy the board, for this price, you wont find a better reverse camber board.
