ross is boss

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for a second set up with a sinking line. The reel looks simple and understated. Haven't been able to use it much yet but it retrieves well and the drag feels precise.

solid reel

I paired this with a 3 wt 7.5 ft rod, and it works great. not to loud, very precise, and seems very solid. The drag system works very well.

Ross Flyrise Fly Reel

I picked this up the other day. I am getting into fly fishing. So far I have been very pleased with the reel and the price. From what I have read this has some of the same internal components as their $200 plus reels. Look forward to see how this hold up after a summer of use.
