The FreePop profile is mostly flat for a stable ride and reliable edge hold, with rocker at the tip and tail to give it extra float in powder and a catch-free feel on hardpack. Super-light regions of wood are integrated with tried-and-true poplar to make the AirPop Core Matrix core Rome's lightest and most responsive, and HotRods double carbon rods are milled into the core for even more pop. The QuickRip sidecut makes the board ride loose at slow speeds for playing around in the park and ride more aggressively at speed for a powerful feel. Kevlar® impact plates underfoot increase durability by protecting the core from getting compressed by the bindings on harsh impacts, and the fast SinterTrue base keeps you cruising through flat zones and traverses.
