Run the streets.

When rails don't pay up, Rome enforcer LNP punishes them with boardslides and nosepresses under the orders of the Mob Boss Snowboard Binding. The V-Rod baseplate provides superior board feel and flex for getting loose, and the Yes, I Cant System allows you to get a more natural leg position for better control and less fatigue when you're beating the hell out of deadbeat boxes.
  • Mob highback is slightly shorter and rounded at the top for a lightweight binding with a freestyle flex for park and urban
  • V-Rod Unibody baseplate reduces the binding's footprint on the board for increased board feel, greater side-to-side flex, and edge-to-edge power
  • SubBase V-Pad fills in the lifted corners of the V-Rod baseplate with EVA for smooth side-to-side flex
  • Contour ankle strap is Rome's most plush ankle strap, providing support and comfort for all types of shredding
  • ConformGrip toe strap conforms around the toes of your boot without putting pressure directly down on your toes
  • Yes, I Cant System provides three canting options so you can adjust based on stance width and personal taste
  • Cant In The Back allows you to adjust your highback to match your canting angle

Are these bindings unisex? What are those "cover-like" on the highback? Do they come off?

Limited Adjustablity

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Im a huge fan of Rome bindings but the Mob Boss in my opinion lack adjustablity. Compared to there other models like Targa and 390 Boss they are limited. They are built solid so if you looking for a tough binding to just hope into and rip it up then go for em but look into the other models if your looking for adjustablity.

ive had two pair of 390s would probably only be one if not for f'in thieves and i love them. however bought my 12-13 yr old son these this year and he destroyed them..he rides hard but the highback snapped in two on a heel edge crash two toe straps and one ankle because it goes inside the heelcup unlike 390s. also the footbed doesn't stay put . needles to say he'll be on 390s next year.

btw unions are overrated.

if i wasnt lazy id take a pic

Anyone using these bindings with size 9 ThirtyTwo boots? Wondering if the Med will be a little tight.

EDIT: I should have been more clear. I was concerned with the width of the footbed since my boot is not really a slim boot style.

Responded on

I would probably go with the Large. 32's are a little higher profile and I have these and the heel is a little narrower.

these are very cumfy bindings that come with sick coozies. The only problem i had was it is a glossy texture that can chip. other than that these bindings are amazing.

Get Some Unions

They are solid bindings, i like the adjustability and the beer coozies but thats about it. I have already had to warranty my toe straps two times, the paint started chipping within the second day of riding, and my heel strap will undo mid-air...WTF. if im paying top dollar for some bindings give me good quality bindinds. they do have good warranty support and im a big Rome fan, but honestly never getting their bindings again. Go with some Unions.

Responded on

Sounds like you got bindings that were too small, bro.
Do the math. Toe straps breaking. Ankle straps coming off.
No other reason than a binding that's too small.
Also, Paint chipping is irrelevant to the binding's performance. That just means your riding hard. It's a battle scar.

Responded on

well then Rome needs to maybe work on their sizing charts. and when i pay over 200 bucks for some bindings, they shouldnt fkcin chip like nail polish

Brandon. Gabe is right, these SDS are the first Rome bindings ive ever owned. I was always a fan of the K2 Indy's.

Im having no problems with these what so ever, get a bigger pair. yours are obvs too small if that keeps happening. the issues you're listing, are in fact no way Romes fault, But your own.

you paid $200? lmfao i got these for under 150$ :DDDDDDDDDDD

Beautiful Bindings!

Very powerful, solid bindings! Just the right amount of stiffness to lock you into a reverse camber board, which is essential in a proper ride.

Offering all kinds of customization features, the Mob Boss saves you that 30 bucks off the 390 boss, simply because it doesn't have the autostrap feature!(Though it DOES come with two hype ass beer coozies) It kills the same in every other way. It was also lighter than the 390's too... Though the 390's may be stiffer, I can guarantee you it won't be by a lot!

The canting was SUPER noticeable, in both the base and hiback, and my power transfer was so off the hook it took me way longer to get used to a flexier board. The ankle strap was so cushy that I could actually feel it's softness through my boot. And the Conform Grip toe strap actually works very well, you can see it wrap around the toe if you choose to use it as a cap, or you can see it simply tighten if you strap it up over top!

In summary, I'm very satisfied with the level of performance from this binding. It's stiff, powerful, and offers you the maximum amount of customization for all your comfortable riding needs.

If this is a binding you're considering, I suggest you get it.

One thing I will say that's slightly problematic for me is that initially the toe strap comes up a bit short, not entirely crossing over the toe of my boot (Medium sized bindings, size 9 ThirtyTwo Boots). Easily alleviated by sliding the toe strap over by manipulating the locks on the strap side (Huzzah for customization!)
