The culmination of years of extensive R&D, the Rome Women's Katana Snowboard Binding delivers super-light, highly customizable performance for riders who rip everything from intimidating steeps to gigantic park kickers and everything in-between. Built from the ground up to be significantly lighter than any binding Rome has ever produced, the Katana features Asymwrap technology to save a ton of weight. This asymmetric underwrap heel hoop provides enhanced lateral movement, allowing you to tweak out grabs and press with precision. And since this heel hoop extends under the binding's chassis, you still get powerful edge-to-edge response when you're carving.
Featuring an Asym Katana highback, the Katana provides ample lateral flex for tweaking out tricks without sacrificing heelside response. This lightweight, cored-out highback is super-customizable with Cant-In-The-Back II alignment. This customizable highback aligns with your lower leg for seamless power transfer and maximum response. Keep the stock 0-degree setting for the traditional feel of a vertical highback, dial-in 3 degrees for narrower stance angles/taller riders, or change it to 6 degrees for super-wide stances/shorter riders.
Absorbing the blow from heavy landings, the Rome Katana is the only binding on the market to use D30 technology for 30% more impact resistance and dampening. The D30 V-Rod SubBase Pad hardens on impact to absorb blows from park hits, cliff drops, and choppy snow conditions. Plus, the Katana has a 2.5-degree canted EVA footbed for anatomical alignment with your knees for enhanced comfort. Rome includes a stock 0-degree footbed for those who prefer the traditional feel of a flat footbed.
Customizing the feel of the ankle strap, the binding's PivotMount Strap Tech is a rotating pivot mount with five flex control settings. Place the PivotMount higher for a locked-in, responsive feel for freeriding or lower it for a looser feel when you're jibbing and park riding. New for this year, the Contour Boss.2 ankle strap is temperature-resistant for better flex retention when the mercury dips into teeth-chattering territory. Moreover, the newly updated ContourLight 2.0 toe strap wraps around the tip of your boot, pulling it back into the heelcup for high levels of response.
