Step your airport game up!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bag is awesome! It's the perfect size, perfect fit. I can fit my board, boots, gear, and clothes in here no problem. I love the black and camo look and the ease of rolling it around the airport. This was a huge step up from my last bag where the zippers were broken and it seemed to fold in half when I moved it around. The zippers on the Rome bag are strong and the bag stays erect while traveling.

Good quality for a decent price

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It says that it fits a 162... my board is 152 and it fits in just right. The bag zips nicely with my boots, gloves, extra layers, snowpants, and jacket. I do not see a helmet fitting in this bag unless it belongs to a kid.

There are a couple things I do not like...a zipper to the semi hard back on the bag should start on the edge of the bag and not near the middle.. it sticks out quite a bit and i wouldn't want to put my board flat on it in fear of indenting the base when packed full.

Luckily the board straps are setup so that the board is flat based towards the top of the bag.

The "all-terrain" wheels are decent but they look no better than scooter wheels..

I really love the throw handles and shoulder strap.
They're perfect.

I also love the zipper stoppers and compartments on the top of the bag.
The item could have used better descriptions though:
More pictures with equipment in the bag fully loaded.
Weight of the bag shipped and empty

So far I love the bag and I love that I purchased it from while also supporting Rome SDS.

Live out of this bag

If it doesn’t fit in here….you don’t need it. Board, boots, binders, helmet and all my odds and ends. I’ve traveled with this bag from the Rockies to Japan to Canada and it held all my gear with style. Tons of pockets to stash wet gloves, tools, wax etc. The wheels are super smooth and I love the “throw” handles on the top of the bag when loading it up.

    Unanswered Question

I ride a 159 and wear size 12 boots. I'll prob be purchasing a board a few cm bigger also. Will the 170cm bag fit all this gear without any problems?

My board is a 153cm. Is this bag to big for it?

    Hey Stephanie,

This would be a bit of an overkill going with a 170 cm bag for your 153 board. Dakine has a few options that would better suit your needs, one in particular is the Women's Dakine Low Roller Snowboard Bag. If you have any other questions feel free to drop me a line or give me a call and we can discuss opitons for you :)

Will this bag be able to fit two boards?

Will this bag also fit my boots and or helmet inside the bag

    Best Answer

Yes. This bag will hold everything you need for a snowboard trip. I pack my board, bindings, boots, helmet, outerwear...everything in this bag. I've used the older version of this bag for the last few years and you can practically live out of it. Tons of room and stash pockets for gloves, tools, wax etc. The wheels are smooth and has great handled on the top and ends.
