Fresh tracks meet freestyle fun.
Splitboards have come a long way since the days of being limited to big powder guns and gigantic swallowtails. Staying true to Rome's envelope-pushing ethos, the Rome Double Agent Splitboard takes a freestyle-specific approach to backcountry riding with its Almost Twin shape. It feels like a twin when launching and landing switch off cliffs and kickers, but has an elongated nose to keep it afloat in deep pow.
A mostly flat profile gives it a stable feel and helps it handle hardpack, and rocker at the tips adds a bit of extra float for pow performance. HotRods Carbon Double Barrel in the tail of the board increase pop on ollies and increase explosiveness out of turns. Impact edges protect the board from encounters with submerged rocks and stumps, and the SinterSpeed base keeps you from getting bogged down on flat spots in the run. Rome also equipped it with Karakoram clips for a more solid and secure feel when riding down.

A resort deck
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This board is the only splitboard I have ridden that feels like my resort deck. Your splitboard does not have to feel like a 70s Cadillac with a flat tire. Fitted with Karakoram hardware.
The Backcountry Party Board
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
If you tend to enjoy doing anything more then just carving in the backcountry, this is the split-board for you. I have put this split-board to the test all last season. I hit cliffs, took it off jumps and surfed big lines and she responded like a dream. The hot rods in the nose and tail make the board strong for touring up hill in the skin track. Then once you put it back together you get a ride like a true twin, allowing you to do more then your basic carves down hill. It is a lightweight design that comes with a solid stable ride. It is not as stiff as some split-boards I have ridden, but thats why I like it so much. You get a more playful experience, but not to much give from the board to loose control in icy of rough conditions. In the video, the shots at :12sec/ :27sec/ :56sec & 1:48 are all on the Rome Double Agent. A must have for that freestyle rider looking to get into the backcountry.
