Buttery bliss.

Get your jib on with the buttery-smooth flex and skate-like feel of the Rome Butterknife Snowboard. This true twin offers a loose, mellow feel that's perfect for pressing through the jib park, spreading butters, and spinning off small-to-medium hits in the park. Since its effective edge is elongated (compared to normal park boards), you can easily size down a few centimeters from what you're used to riding, giving you the sensation of riding your skateboard on the snow. Plus, its Skatecore profiling thins out between the bindings, easily twisting through its midsection for quick maneuverability between park hits and jib features.

Designed with Rome's NoHang-Ups Rocker, the Butterknife has a large flat area that's shaped like a diamond, extending past the bindings, just 20-millimeters shy of the tip and tail contacts. There's a 3D continuous curvilinear rocker at the tip and tail for catch-free presses, grinds, and spins. Add in a responsive Pop Core Matrix, ollie-boosting Hot Rods-Glass Single Barrel down the middle of the board, and press-enhancing Butter Out Transition Zones for a deck that's ready to jib, press, and butter with unparalleled ease.

Here's what others have to say...

Is it easy to butter with? i heard that the flex is harder than it sounds...

Best Answer

The Butterknife is a little stiffer than the Artifact and Artifact Rockers, but it is pretty darn easy to butter. It has long contact points, so ride it 3-5 cm shorter than your normal board. Hope this helps.

what size should i get if i am 6 1 or 6 2 and still growing?

What size to ride depends more on your weight and foot size. If you just want this board for hitting rails get the 152.

This board is just like the title, Fun. A must have for park or urban, or if all you do is skate the mountain. Very playful with lots of POP! The first time i rode a butter knife, i felt like i was getting 6 to 8 inches of extra ollie height with out any extra effort. Way more of a skateboard feel then your usual snowboard. Softer between the feet with slightly stiffer nose and tail. Very stable, even when riding a smaller size then you normally would. I am 5'11", about 190 pounds, and i like to ride the 149. Don't be scared, you will love it.

149?! What size do you normally ride? I'm trying to figure mine out, but I'm about 190-195 and anything under 152 makes me nervous that I'm too heavy!
