The Rome Artifact 1985 proves that reverse camber is the new hot sauce. This reverse camber, super-flexible, snappy-as-hell Rome banger adds spicy jibs, hot butters, and peppery presses to your buffet. Rome mapped carbon strips onto the tip and tail of this twin-tip jibstick to give the Artifact 1985’s ollies extra pop. A hard extruded base maintains its integrity even after constant abuse on metal and wood, so you can get saucy all season with only minimal maintenance required. Rome gave the Artifact 1985 bronze edges—smooth, naturally rounded edges that avoid hang-ups on rails and transitions. Peep the scratch-off graphics and use friction to stay warm on the lift.

Bottom Line: The Rome Artifact 1985 Snowboard takes jibbing into the reverse camber dimension.

I agree with everything "The Guy" said. Instantly improves every aspect of your park game. Everyone knows this. What impressed me the most was the amount of control it had over the entire mountain - especially in deep in the trees. Granted it will not slice through corduroy, but do not sell this stick short. The reverse camber easily keeps the nose up and floats with the best of em. At high speed, feels much more like wake boarding than riding, a lot more long slides than deep carves. Yet it is very responsive and an absolute blast to ride. Tack on that it is impossible to catch an edge and it makes for one of the most fun and versatile decks year round. Buy it. Donate sperm.

I must disagree. After riding my Artifact 1985 for an entire season, I must say it can easily take on all-mountain. Granted it does not bite into the snow, but the deck can pull high speed turns and is easily controllable. And as for powder or back country, the reverse camber is a dream. Keeps the nose up and floats with no lean required. Truly a great board and I believe it gets pigeon-holed as many park decks do.

hey hey...this is probably one of the worst boards for all mountian riding. with the reverse camber (edges dont touch snow except for right in the middle) and the pre rouded edges, thats a bad story. first you have no edge contact to start with and then once you get some, your edges are round!!!...yes you can probably make it down the down the mountain, but you wont have much control, your edges wont have any bite and will slip out from under you very easily, turning will be slow and tedious and you will be constantly worried that your board will slip out from under your feet.....i would not reccomend it uless you are just riding from terrain park to terrain park :-)

i've been looking for this board forever. poppy enough to lip onto my coffee table standing still. mellow enough to press better than i ever have my entire life. don't lean, just lift the foot. buttter concrete without snow man, not even kidding you. with this board, i tap more on a ten foot box than you do on a thirty. anybody looking for the next thing in boarding, this is it. Stop looking at others and considering your options. if this isn't in your budget, make it in your budget. donate blood or sperm or something.

its that good

It kills them. Very forgiving on landings especially when needing to butter the last half of a spin as you connect to the snow. Dominates anything park.
