Excellent Product, fit and finish were amazing, would buy again, actually I DID. I ordered the Pitchfork model but it would not work without modification on my Euro Bars, so returned them. It was an easy process but I picked up the Euro Pitchfork model over the Thule brand's that were on sale based on the product. The red looks Sick on my Red GTI a well:)

This bike mount is of a much better quality than I expected. My previous mounts have been Yakima and they have nothing to justify their $$$, however, I continue to user their rack system. The grade of metal used to secure the rack to the crossbar is very strong. I thought that there would be flexing of the metal as soon as I tightened the two bolts, however, my rack is on extremely tight and I never noticed a hint of flexing. It's sleek in appearance which makes for a clean looking roof rack system. This is a fantastic alternative over the more expensive well known brands. The bike in the photo is a 29er and seems as if it was designed for the mount.
All in all, this is a great quality product for a very low price. Hope this helped.

Great bike mount!

You'll need to get the Thule or Yakima crossbars and mounting hardware to attach the factory running bars.

If you have factory crossbars, then you want the RockyMounts TieRod. It's the same bike rack as this one, but it's designed for factory bars.

I have 3 Euro PitchForks (Green I might add), and the are solid. the locking QR is stellar as long as you LUBE it every few months so it don't stick! Other than that, its the best product in its class on the market. Fits all disc suspension forks and will take 15 and 20mm through axels with adaptor from RM. Slim design is great and the construction is not cheap like some others I won't name, that rhymes with spooley. Try the Tie-Rod if you have factory bars. The design of that thing is GENIUS!

These are very low-profile, make no wind noise when driving, and provide a super-stable platform for the bike up top. Beware installing the skewers...I accidentally cross-threaded one side, which was surprisingly easy to do, and you're out of luck with the warranty...a $32.52 mistake. Nevertheless, the choice of colors is really slick, and the cam design of the skewer makes it set-up-and-go easy. Easy on / easy off, no hassle
