Race spec.

If you’re a privateer XC racer, you know that consistency and durability trump flash and weight (to a point). The Rock Shox SID XX forgoes the Black Box carbon crown in favor of a tried-and-trusted version, and makes use of the Power Bulges found on slightly longer-travel forks to increase stiffness.

The Dual Flow damper uses separate circuits for high and low-speed compression, as well as rebound damping at the beginning and end of the stroke. This results in a fork that’s sensitive to smaller bumps, but can still soak up a decent-sized hit.

The XX version you see here comes equipped with a hydraulically-actuated XLoc remote to give you lockout power on the fly, and that remote is MatchMaker compatible, so you can mount it right to your brake levers or shifter.

  • Solo Air spring
  • 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle
  • Tapered steerer tube
  • XLoc remote
  • Power Bulge lowers

Unanswered Question

Do you know what I would need to fit this fork to this bike? Would I need spacers also?
