So many options.
Skateboarding legend Jamie Thomas needs no introduction, but his signature Men's M-74 Field Jacket does, so let us break it down for you. The M074 was inspired by traditional military jackets, which is why Jamie upped the versatility by adding a removable vest lining. This button-out vest adds extra warmth to the jacket when you need it, can be removed when you don't, and can even be worn on its own. Plus, it's reversible—with soft flannel on one side and water-resistant ripstop on the other—meaning you get four pieces to choose from for the price of one when you buy this jacket. Don't ever say Jamie Thomas doesn't know how to cut a deal.

- Q & A
the scoop on sizing
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
First, this is a high quality jacket with great workmanship and design, very nice buttons, zipper and material. It oozes cool and the color is a little darker than what's pictured. I bought a medium, i'm 5 ft 11.5 inches, 175 lbs. I normally wear a medium in everything but this was tight in chest and shoulders with liner in or out. I'm athletic but my forearms aren't big, the medium was tight in the arms. The length of sleeves are right at 34. I exchanged for the Large and it fits great. Although the size chart says 42-44, there's no way someone that wears a 44 jacket could fit in the Large. It's probably a right-on 42. I'm about a size 41. The medium would fit someone that's about a 38- 39 jacket size and is 5 ft. 10 inches or shorter.
Top-notch customer service from Backcountry, this is my first purchase with them, very happy.
