With the Lippa, you're able to control the fish by holding onto his lower jaw, which makes it easier to remove the hook. Plus the Lippa's ends have a 1/8in gap between them when they're closed so they don't puncture the fish's lip, and the plier-like design allows you to hold the fish horizontally and use the in-water release method.
