X-Trail C30 Ultegra/105 Complete Bike - 2016

Admit it: everyone riding road bikes off-roads looks like they’re having a lot more fun than you are on your twitchy road racing frame. Cave in already and embrace bikes made for the in-between so you don’t have to turn around the next time the road you're on deteriorates into an enticing dirt track. Ridley distinguishes its 2016 X-Trail C30 Ultegra/105 Complete Bike as an All-Road frame, made to excel on everything from gravel to ‘cross courses and whatever else you can find.

You’ll still be plenty quick on descents and climbs on tarmac with the X-Trail’s lightweight carbon construction, and its asymmetrical fork and thru-axles in the front and rear work together to establish a stiff, responsive frame through tight and twisty spots. Rather than designate the X-Trail as exclusively a ‘cross racing frame, Ridley chose to instead to leave the tight, aggressive geometry for the X-Night and instead shape the X-Trail to more closely resemble an endurance road frame. Names aside, for you this means a more upright riding position that your neck and shoulders will thank you for after a quick ride turns into all-day exploration. As if that weren’t enough, Ridley also spec’s this do-it-all frame with a blend of hardworking Ultegra and 105 components, hydraulic disc brakes, and clearance for up to 40mm tires.
