X-Bow 20 Allroad Disc Complete Cyclocross Bike - 2015

Retired cyclocross bikes have long been favorites of the commuter crowd for their efficient design and durability. The X-Bow 20 Allroad, another sensible Ridley innovation, is the love child of a workhorse commuter bike and a tough, aluminum cyclocross bike.

Ridley used double-butted 7000-series aluminum throughout. Aluminum makes sense for every reason in this application. It’s stiff, lightweight, inexpensive, durable, and corrosion-proof—everything you need in a frame that’s tasked with daily transportation, rain or shine. To reduce some of the fatigue-inducing vibration up front, Ridley employed its 4ZA carbon fork. The 4ZA fork was also reinforced to handle the increased braking force of disc brakes.

Ridley outfitted the X-Bow 20 Allroad Disc cyclocross bike with Shimano’s tough Sora drivetrain. Avid BB7 mechanical discs take care of the stopping duties with more than enough grunt for your cross race or commute. The wheels are CX disc, and the rest of the build is Ridley’s 4ZA group of tough, lightweight components.
