Enjoy everything your local hill has to offer with the Ride Control Snowboard.

If you're a progressing rider who makes the entire mountain your playground, the Ride Control Snowboard is your ticket to all-mountain dominance. Ride laminated the Control's full-length wood core with linear strands of carbon fiber to give the board more snap, so you'll power out of turns and ollie like never before. A directional shape and deep radial sidecut lend this freeride board Nascar-like handling when winding your way through the trees. Should you accidentally bonk one, don't worry, the Control's ABS sidewalls and full-wrap steel edges will take the hit. Ride gave the Control Snowboard an extruded 1500 base for easy maintenance, good wax absorption, and fast performance. *We can't control what base color you'll get. But they're all rad, anyway.

Agree with everyone here

I got the 2008 and had been riding it for the whole season (like 10-12 times). It is a great board to polish your riding skills. Not what you want to use for the park. It is REALLY heavy and stiff. I rode it during the "Blizzard of 2010" on more than 2 feet of ungroomed powder and it was awesome!

I just got this board and haven't used it yet and i got a 151 cm and i am 5.7 ft tall and i weight 160lbs and i was wondering if this board it too small for me??

Responded on

i wouldnt be too worried about it because of your height, i have ridden a burton custom x 152 and i was 5 11 160 for about two years, it gets a little squirmy at times when at high speeds but other than that go for it

does this board have enough pop?

Responded on

Not sure by what you mean as "enough pop". It does have some. If you want a really poppy park board I would look at the DH or Society. This is a great all mountains board for cruising all over the hill.

is this a god board for someone who likes rails and ramps and trails

Responded on

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by trails. Like tree trails? But either way, it IS an all-mountain board, so it should have you covered if that's what you're interested in.
If you want a board just for the park then you need to find a freestyle board. Otherwise, this one one will be perfect for you.

does anyone know if I can swing a 148 if I'm 5'10" 155lbs

Responded on

Wouldn't risk a 148 at 155 brah. It's all about weight. 155 ain't much for that height but you'd still be pushin it. Might snap that stick.

Solid Ride

I've been using a Control 158 for about 4 years now. It a solid ride and very sturdy. I am 5'9 and 175lbs and I have found this board to be very fast with wonderful edge control. With little maintenance I have kept it in top shape without having to bring it to a shop. Nothing wrong with the top sheet and the base is still going strong. Its dropped in all types of backcountry in Canada, Nevada, and Alaska!! (shreds the groomers here in Virginina =(

NOT A PARK BOARD!!! I have taken many spills on it attempting rails and jumps. The older model I use has limited pop, super stiff, and pretty hefty. Keep it on the groomers, or better, get into some untracked POW and float away!

Can the "Head" blinding be fixed to this board?

Best Answer Responded on

hey so i had a hard time finding a binding with the name "head"...but, Head Snowboarding's bindings use a 4 hole pattern so all Head bindings are compatible with this board, and if you mean "head" as in the lead binding?...yes the lead and rear bindings can be fixed to the board. im still not quite sure what you are asking but ANY binding with a 4 hole pattern is compatible with this board

sturdy board

this is a great all mountain board i have hit a lot of rocks and done other damaging things to this board but it has always held up and the base looks almost new after an entire year of boarding on it. pros it is a strong tough board and is great to learn on or for a advanced rider, it can handle hard landings off jumps easily. cons if you are looking for a park board than this is not your board it is stiff and heavy
all in all this is a great board

Great board

I've been riding for awhile now and you'll normally see me on a Society or Concept UL but I couldn't believe how great this board rides for the price it is sold.
This board can accommodate up to a 10.5 boot size (If you have a size 11+ check out the Fleetwood which is the wide version of this board).
This board is great for someone that is just getting into riding all the way up to the seasoned all-mountain veteran that is looking for a great ride at an affordable cost.
