The Concept TMS belongs to Ride's ATV collection—as in All Terrain Vehicle. This board will take advanced snowboarders down a big mountain line one day and down the pipe the next. The secret to the Concept TMS' versatility lies in its Silencer 5 Tuned Core and innovative Slimewall construction. Five strips of carbon above this freestyle deck's core transfer power from your binding to the edge, allowing you to carve trenches in hard snow. Ride wrapped these carbon strips in visco-elastic material and made the sidewalls out of impact-absorbing urethane to reduce vibration. The result is a board that refuses to chatter at speed and feels super smooth sliding down rails. Whether you ride centered or set back, switch or regular, the Concept TMS' quadratic sidecut and twinnish shape handles like a Maserati. The Concept TMS' fusion 4000 sintered base glides fast over any type of snow, helping you make it to the chair on that long traverse.
Bottom Line: In any terrain, in any snow conditions, the Ride Concept TMS is ready to charge.
smooth fluid and stable - Liquid, and fast as heck - Lighning...more? ok, i demoed this board on my late season trip to snowbird, so it saw icey groomers in the morning and then progressivly softer, slower, and dirtier slush. The board ruled and tore though everything in its way. Bumpy surfaces that would have thrown my flimsy park board around were pummeled and flatened by this super stiff (to me) monster...I tried a custom X and i think this is a hair stiffer. Its ultra solid, kinda felt like riding a really fast tank around. Stomping landings is a dream in this thing. even tho its stiff its still super nimble and throws fliud turns on a dime. The base is crazy fast, i picked up speed like crazy and was able to carry it thru horribly flat traverses made out of dirty slush. Awesome board, i loved it.
I have a size 12.5 foot and was wondering about whether or not toe over hang would be an issue for a Ride timeless 164. I know the general rule is 12 and up should go wide but being 6'4 190 I am not sure what would be my best option.
With a waist width of 25.2 on the 164 you're very likely to encounter heel/toe drag. Look for a board with a waist width of at least 26.0 and you'll be much happier with your ride.

Board is fast and has a lot of control. Easy to go edge to edge and has a lot of pop. Very stable at high speeds as well. What I liked most is the base, which makes it so fast. It especially helps on the catwalks so you don't have to unstrap. All my friends had to unstrap when I still was able to ride through. Great board for the money.
I took this board out on a sick powder day at the Canyons resort in Park City, UT. As soon as I stepped off the gondola and strapped into the board, I was immediately flying through some awesome Utah powder. The concept is an extremely flexy and responsive board. It is good for carving down a double black diamond or hitting up some backcountry kickers. None of which I did; that is scary stuff, jk. After floating down to the bottom of the run, on top of a foot and a half of powder, I could not wait to get back up. The concept is also really light, which makes riding the lift up nice, because you do not have some clunky brick hanging off of your boot. I definitely recommend this board for anyone who likes to slide down snowy mountains on wooden boards.
I've been riding the Ride Timeless in 164 for several years - I'm a bit torn on whether to go the 161 or 164 on the Concept - any input? I'm 6'0", 175lbs.
I just finished using this baby on the California side of Heavenly. The resort's not too impressive, but ALL OF A SUDDEN, I REALIZED I'M A MUCH BETTER SNOWBOARDER. I've heard people say this board is unstable at low speeds or doesn't do quick tight turns very well, but this is not at all the case. I can carve all the way down a moderately icy face pretty quickly and not lose stability unless I go way off course. Haven't used it a lot in the park, but it's super light and has decent pop. The best part of the Concept is its unbelievable response: if you THINK heelside, you'll TURN heelside. I used to be exclusively loyal to Burton, but now I'll never go back. Use these with the SPi bindings and your control will be untouchable. I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!
Used a few days, some of those days were huge pow days. Board performed under some serious conditions, only on the day before the snow came, on the groomers there was a small amount of chatter, at red line speeds.
There was nothing really notable for me to say about the TMS after demoing it for a couple of days in varied conditions. It's not really stiff and it's not really soft. It's pretty fast, but nothing extraordinary. The best thing that I could say about this board is that the flex provides for poppy takeoffs and solid landings. But, with all of the technology happening in snowboard designing these days, I'm starting to think that Ride has to do something soon to keep up with the Joneses. Save your money for a LibTech BTX.
