Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Thin and light is the name of the game when you're talking about the Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding. This sucker uses a Thin Flex ankle strap, UltraLight highback, and, well, you getting the gist yet? Ride cut this thing to the absolute minimum to help you ride freely without anything holding you back. But don't think for a second that Ride would compromise and leave behind the over-the-toe Comfortable Grip toe strap or well-padded Wedgie 2.5 base plate.

Bottom Line: Light is right for snowboarders too.

NOT FOR 300

So I have used the BETA bindings from RIDE and love the response. So I purchased these bindings, and for 300 bucks? NO! That ankle strap SUCKKSSSS! This strap is useless, it does not really hold your feet down. Toe strap is great, it's the same that my BETA bindings have. The Wedgie kicks ass for those that might have some knee problems. So the Wedgie kills it for pop too! Way easier to pop ollies! I've been using the 4.0 Wedgie, I haven't tried the 2.0 yet. So overall binding is great, but not for 300 bucks, specially with that shitty useless ankle strap!

Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

I demo'd these and really liked everything but the ankle strap. I'm a total beginner but have tried 3 different bindings and liked these the best - but I bought the Beta's due to the ankle strap and price difference. The Alpha, however, is considerably more burly than the Beta and I might have gone that way if I was worried about beating on the binding a bit more.
