Description

Stay dry while shredding the high seas of powder.

Riding while soaking wet simply will not do for a gentleman of your stature; you need a jacket that suits your rank, like the Ride Men's Admiral Insulated Jacket. The fully taped 20K-rated waterproof, breathable fabric keeps you dry and cool so you can focus on exploring uncharted pow fields, and even the exposed zips do their part with YKK AquaGuard for assured protection. The Admiral also features ACT2 strategically placed insulation for ultimate body heat control and all-day comfort. The long fit (with handy two-way front zip), snap-back powder skirt, and drawcord hem give oodles of coverage and don't let snow sneak up the back or down a high waist. An insulated, ergonomic, and stretchy helmet-compatible hood lets you get full range of vision while staying protected on all sides. And ninja Lycra hand gaiters add cozy coverage to your cold-prone hands.

Articulated elbows give you easy-moving comfort, and a one-hand hood adjustment keeps it simple. On frigid storm days, pull up the removable balaclava face mask to protect against frost bite or just a really cold face. And this jacket, of course, has a media pocket with window plus an interior one for your goggles, one on your sleeve for your pass, and two microfleece-lined toaster pockets for those frozen fingers. A velvety chin guard and inner collar with breathe-easy vent and lift ticket loop round out this ultra-official jacket.

Cocona has changed everything

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I spent the last 3 months of the 12/13 season using this jacket and it is by far the best jacket I have ever owned. The new cocona material that ride is using is changing everything you know about temperature regulation. Up until now you sweat and your layers/jacket would pull that moisture away from your skin and evaporate it. Cocona takes it up a notch and evaporates the moisture before it even has a chance to build up on your skin. So you stay dry and when you're dry your comfortable. So in the middle of February at zero degrees, hiking in the Utah side country and slushy spring laps in this jacket were all comfortable in the Admiral jacket.

I"m 6'2", 200 lbs, 44 inch chest, 33 sleeve length and a 35 inch waist and the large fits great, the classic long fit is about an inch or two longer then most jackets. The chest ventilation is a nice change to your standard pit zips as you can release heat and cool down much faster as you ride or hike. I also love the built in Cocona facemask/baclava/ninja mask in the hood... You can wear it just as a facemask if needed but it is 100 times better than any other facemask I've used as my goggles don't fog with everything sealed up and it doesn't cause you to overheat wearing the full mask under my helmet.

If you've had problems with other outwear keeping your warm and dry during the day you should definitely check out what Ride is doing with cocona as it really will change your day on the mountain.

Dark pine is GREEN

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Only tried this on. Dark pine is GREEN(bay packers colors) even tho it looks blue. Fit is great, I'm 6' 170 and the large is nice and long and not too baggy. Insulation in back panels and front panels only but still a bit too much for me, I prefer a shell.
Those chest zips are not pockets but vents and they only open about a cm...? i'd prefer pit zips and chest pockets.
Also has a zipper on the pow skirt for pant connect.
