If bouldering is supposed to be the easy entry to the world of climbing, then why do most crash pads cost an arm and a leg? The Revolution Climbing Trooper Pad softens the blow when your ass hits the ground, without taking revenge on your wallet. Three-and-a-half inches of dual-density foam covered in ballistic nylon ensure that the Trooper will last as long as this bouldering bug keeps biting, and padded shoulder straps make the in-hike a breeze.

Bottom Line: The Trooper Pad puts itself in harm's way to keep you climbing.

Climbing Bum,Trooper pad: 48" x 36" x 3.5"Mondo pad: 44" x 66" x 5"Both use a combination of open cell (soft) and close cell (hard) foams. I have used the Mondo for bouldering, it is a great pad to have underneath you, I highly recommend it. The down sides are you could buy 2 Trooper pads for less and it is difficult to fit into a car. Extra crash

Easy to carry, not to heavy and folds up well. Oh yea and it works well as a crash pad too, not quite as hard as the Metolius so it feels a little better for short falls.
