This is a great leather sandal. They are really comfortable and the opener on the bottom is a bonus, My son was unable to find these and I located them on backcountry.com and ordered them for a gift. They came very quickly and he was really pleased.

These things are sweet, they mold right to the foot amd don't jam in between the toes, not to mention they're styly

I have had these sandals for years now and I love them. They have great arch support, for a sandal, and the strap is large enough that it does not dig into my foot. The traction is adequate for every day use and if you ever forget your bottle opener you are in luck.
While I have only used the shoe as a bottle opener once, it is still comfortable none-the-less.

With an air pocket heal and a think strap around your foot, these sandals are super comfortable and just incase you are in the position to open beers and do not have a bottle opener you can play Macgyver and open beers with your shoe. Not an every day tool, but the best emergency device ever. Most of all they are comfortable getting to the beer opening spot, and for me I spend all season in ski boots, so in the spring my feet are supple and these sandals treat me right.

Great flipflop... until I met TNF base camps... they blow these out of the water when it comes to the overall feel and comfort.

Reef fanning sandals are classic. Good sandal grips your feet well, and pretty much all around great sandal. I got the glow in the dark one and it seems to be pretty good, but the glow in the dark places are just silly. Why not just make a grey sandal.

These sandals are the most comfy I have ever owned. And the best part is I have had a pair for 3 years now and it is still in good shape, no rust on the opener, the sole is worn down a bit (as expected) but the air pocket is still inflated and the straps are not rubbing bad or anything. Perfect.

I work in an indoor pool setting, so these take a lot of abuse from the chemicals. The print on the straps of these started to peel and flake off after 6 months. They were super comfortable at the very start and they continue to be comfortable, so no problem there. They also look great and the bottle opener has come in handy a time or 2.

How can you beat these? They fit perfect and conform to you feet quickly... Bottle opener works great, althought I did break one climbing on some rocks in them, luckily there is one on each foot! This best invention in footwear in a long time! More durable than some of the other Reef's I've had. Who doesn't love functionality?

I found a pair of these in CA years ago, and fell in love. Just bought a new pair from Backcountry, and wasnt disappointed. Comfortable, rugged, stylish, and with a bottle cap opener on the bottom - what more could you want!?

These sandals are by far the best flip flops I have ever owned they fit nice and tight so they don't flop around as mush as most they are super comfy. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Utility: good bottle opener on bottom ~ freaks people out from a sanitary perspective
Durability: my strap busted after one summer of use ~ not too bad considering I wore them daily ~ I will replace in kind

I never want to take mine off. Could walk all day in them and still keep going. Well worth it. Great traction on sandy boardwalks, rocks, even ice. Bottle opener works, Not the cleanest one available though.

While on the heavy side, these things are redicuously comfortable. Thick, wide strap keeps the tops of your feet happy, surprised to find a decent amount of arch support after putting them on, airbags on your feet make every step more comfortable. They mold to the foot quick, making long, late night, inebriated treks to taco bell the day after buying them a breeze.
Haven't tried the bottle opener yet, but it warms my heart to know it's there.

pretty much the most comfortable sandal of this type i have worn and this being my second pair i can say from experience that they hold up very well. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 and the 8 fits perfectly.

in these days of ever prolific technology there will be those who choose to use these gadgets and those who will make their own. these sandals are for the poor bloke who lacks that tool savvy. look around you. there are probably 5 things within arms-reach that you can use to open your beer.

now these do make a excellent present for one of the older generations that cannot make these advanced decisions. like whether to look for a lighter in the back seat or try and use the seatbelt...

I just retired my first pair because I completely wore the sole off. They lasted 2.5 years and the first 1.5 years were in Hawai'i where I wore them everyday. They fit perfectly still and I am able to walk 10+ miles a day in them without getting blisters or sore feet.

My husband and I each have 3 pair of Fannings and they are FABULOUS! They are so comfortable that we would gladly live in them all summer. I got these for his birthday so he can finally toss his oldest pair that is looking pretty sad.

Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I've been through a lot of flip-flops. These are far and away the best I've owned. The thick strap keeps them tight to the foot but doesn't hold in heat and dry surprisingly fast. They provide more than enough cushion and stand up to walking on gravel. The only drawback is that the sole can be slippery of wet surfaces, but that goes away after a breaking in period. Haven't had a chance to test the bottle opener yet.

If you live by the "5 P's" (prior planning prevents pi$$ poor performance), you'll never short of an opener for a coldie when opportunity knocks. I'm on my third pair and they rock. I've worn Fanning's fishing for 18 hours straight, gone on long walks, done yard work, and shot hoops with my son in them and they NEVER get uncomfortable. My experience is that they last about a half year with normal use and start to get a little worn out and funky after that.

It's definitely a fad to get these sandals. Maybe it was an impulse buy due to the Surfer Mag gal ad or the cheap discontinued price. It has been in my closet for over two years only get sun on a few wks out of the year where my 3 pairs of Chacos have seen over 200 days of the gold coast. I may say that they serve a good quick support in the profile but maybe a little rigid in the heel-almost rock like. My wide toe box seems to slip in but the straps seem too loose, making wearing it over 30 minutes seems tiresome. Forget about taking it on sand, it just seems to slow your pace down almost like the heel 'slouches'. I like to lounge but not have my feet feeling like gaining a workout trying to get to the water. I would recommend it to my frat pal (I don't have one).

These are very comfortable and stylish sandals. I have flat feet and these have enough of an arch so that my lower back doesnt start aching after wearing for an extended periord of time. They've been very durable and i've never blown out these flip flops by stepping on a pop top like i have others.

I really, REALLY hate flip flops...but this is the first pair i've ever worn that I have liked. They offer a good amount of support and their softness. My biggest problem with flip flops in the past were loose straps, making them move on my feet, but these straps hug them which make for a very comfortable and effortless walk. The bottle opener works wonders too while on vacation in Myrtle.

Last time I enjoyed wearing flip flops, I was about 8 yrs old. None have been good since then, until I read reviews about these, bought them for myself, and wore them around this summer. At the beach whether in the sand or on the boardwalk, at the store, on the street, out anywhere...they've been awesome. They stay on your feet secure enough to give your toes some room but not loose enough to fly off. I haven't heard the click-clack sound from them like most flip flops. These sandals replaced a pair of nicely worn in sandals and I was prepared for a period of breaking in time but they were comfortable from the first time I put them on.

These sandals are great! They are much more comfortable than most other sandals (reef included) and while cleaner bottle openers abound when your at the bar or your keys are close by but when your canoing across the lake or camping in the backcountry it comes in very handy!

These are the most comfortable flip flop I've ever worn. The neoprene strap is extremely comfortable. I don't plan on replacing these any time soon. When I do, it will be with the same thing.

I avoided flip flops for years, mostly because they were always so uncomfortable. I received these as a gift and the Reefs changed my mind, I love these flippers. I've used the bottle opener in a pinch which works fine, but my favorite aspect is that I hardly notice them on my feet.

The bottle openers work great, the sandals are comfy (I wear them almost every day in good weather), but DON'T plan on wearing them all day! The bottle openers (one per sandal, dude) are HARD and start jamming your feet. If you're on your dogs all day, you'll wish you had the bottle opener on your key chain.

I bought a pair of these sandals for each of my groomsmen. They were floored! These sandals are awesome! The bottle opener works great and they all got plenty of use out of it during the weekend of my wedding.

I got them last week and I've yet to take them off outside of work. They're by far the best pair of flip flops I've ever owned or put on and I used to be a shoe salesman at a sports and outdoors chain. When I wore them the first day they squeaked a little when I walked; I think it was the foot bed needing breaking in, as it hasn't really done it since. The one exception being when they were wet from rain and I was walking on linoleum, they produced a bit of a squishy, squeaky noise. Within minutes of putting them on I'd realized they already felt much better than the old rubber pair I was used to wearing, and they were shaped much more naturally to my foot. Needless to say they're my new favorite pair of sandals hands down, plus the bottle opener has already come in handy.

I bought a pair of these last year and love them. The bottle cap key on the bottom has been unbelievably handy at parties, camping trips and on boat trips. My friends are always amazed that I have a bottle cap key on my flip flops so I decided to get each of them their own pair.

These are pretty cool and I like stiffness of the sole yet they have good cusion. My only complaint is I get a wierd pain on the outside of my left foot, where the strap meets the flip flop. Could just be my foot.

Who would have thought of putting a bottle opener in the bottom of a thong (thats what us Aussies call them)! People love it when you pull one off and bust open a cold one. The bounus is they are actually really comfortable, I can spend days walking around in them. The yellow and green makes me feel patriotic, Mick Fanning is an Aussie afterall.

These sandals are simply amazing. Comfy as hell. I originally ordered one size small (because that's what was available) but even so they still fit amazingly well. They do tend to build up a smell but I just ran them under some water and they're fine. The color icon on the heel wore off quickly, if that's a consideration. The bottle opener is awesome. These sandals are the most comfortable sandals that I have ever owned. The one problem that I have had is that the front of the sandal began to slightly wear away after a couple of months. The bottle opener is a good idea but I still have not used it because I am a little put off by the idea of using something that touches the ground to open my beers.

Simply the best flip ever. I am on my second pair and didn't even consider anything else. These are the only flip-flops I have owned for about 2 years now. My first pair lasted about 2 years, and were very durable. The air insoles mean they float, so no sinkage when you jump off cliffs and stuff. The soles are great, and I actually use them for light hiking on easy trails (namely to the hot springs) where I just want freedom and comfort. The soles never completely wore out on my first pair. The actual "thong" strap between the toes wore out first. Although they never broke, the material around them started to come off well into year 2 of almost daily usage. I call that acceptable wear and tear.
Better yet, I travel a ton, and never bring a bottle opener - except that my sandals have them built in, so I guess I do bring one with me. What better way to open a bottle of suds when on the trail, beach, or in a hotel room? Ingenious. Simply the best design concept for a sandal - ever. Not to mention it is a great way to meet people at parties. Simply take off the sandal, pop their top for them, and start the schmoozing....

These flops are awesome. Totally durable. Little F.Y.I though, take it off while opening a beer bottle. I still haven't mastered the art of opening with them on your feet yet. Guess it takes some practice. Anyway, these sandals kick serious ass and I love them. It's 49 degrees outside and I still won't wear my shoes they're so comfortable. Buy Them!!

I bought my husband Reef sandals for Father's Day - especially for the bottle opener on the sole. He LOVES them - VERY comfy and they look great.

These shoes come in a ton of great colors. They fit well and are very durable. I am used to wearing a flip flop with zero arch support, so when I put these on I am kind of shocked at the feel under my feet. This feel is not a bad thing, just something different that you have to get used to. Some people might say it is better..I would say that is personal preference. The bottle opener does work, although I guess if you were to step in dog poop the dog poop would get stuck in the bottle opener, and then you would get poop on your drink..that would probably suck.

When I first purchased these, I kept my expectations in check due to the bottle opener on the sole and usually paying more for better sandal comfort. Boy, was I surprised. Along with having a useful tool (I have used the sole 7 times so far out of necessity.), this sandal had the least amount of break-in of any sandal that I have ever owned. The fit and cushioning is much more comfortable than anticipated.In sizing, they do run a bit big as I am between 11 and 11 1/2 and the size 11 was perfect from the get-go. So, size down a bit if you are between whole and half sizes (ex: in between 10 1/2 and 11, go with the 10 1/2).

What can I say; these boys have a friggin' bottle opener on the bottom - talk about a conversation piece!! Not only that, but they look great and feel INCREDIBLE. The fat, throwback (early '90s?) 180 air pad gives 'em a cushy ride that you're gonna LOVE. If you're ready to drop $40 on a pair of flips, you simply can't go wrong with Mick's kicks!

I got these sandals for my husband because he both loves beer and has horrible arches and these looked more comfy than the rest. He wears them all the time and says that they are surprisingly supportive. He does use the beer opener occasionally but likes to wear them in general because of the good arch support and comfort. I should buy the ladies version...

I am not a sandal guy but these might convert me. Very comfortable and stylish. Sure the bottle opener is a sweet function and probably the reason most people buy this sandal, but this is definitely a quality product.
