Why We Like The Redington Zero Series Fly Reel

The Redington Zero Series Fly Reel is lightweight and affordable, thanks to its die cast construction and traditional clicker drag system. We like to pair this reel with our lightweight fiberglass rod to chase little brookies and 'bows on our favorite blue line stream.

Reel broke after 2 months of use

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The reel broke after 2 months of use. Redington’s warranty replacement lead time is quoted at 3-4 MONTHS. Poor product and poor customer service. I can’t recommend.

It's the little things in life...

I bought this reel to pair with my new 7' 6" 3wt for smaller/tighter stretches of water. After having the chance to take it out on a few outings, I have fallen in love with this thing. It absolutely serves the purpose of a great small water reel. I will say, it did take some adjustment to get used to not having any drag, but it makes fighting those small stream cutties so fun! I probably wouldn't put it on anything larger than a 4 weight, but it's a great option for a backcountry or small water set up.
