    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These waders rock! They are super durable, so much so that I don't even flinch when trekking through the brush. The fit is great, just make sure to get your upper measurement correct! The flip out tool kit is great and makes it possible to fish without a pack or vest on short outings!

    Epically Durable and Comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I have had these waders for 3 years now and the amount of abuse they have survived is astonishing. They have even survived a 3 hour walk through terrain that a mountain goat could not conquer, which saw me break my rod and net! (the things we do to find epic low pressure locations!!). In winter these have preformed very well with the felt pockets especially a welcome feature. The sealed pocket in the front has saved my car keys and phone on a number of occasions (time to move to felt soles?) and overall these have performed flawlessly when friends have had to replace their waders after a single season. After 3 years of backcountry death marches, these are still going strong and once they finally succumb to the abuse I will definitely be replacing them with the exact same wader.

    Great Waders

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

My first impression of these waders was comfort. After I did a few down dogs I realized that no seams blew out and with the design they used I doubt I’ll get leaks. The reinforced section on the lower leg is killer for pushing through brush and not having to worry about a tear. The fit is spot on, a slim fit through the legs so keep that in mind. The fleece lined pocket is great for those cold conditions BWOs thrive in. Flip out pocket is even better for not lugging a pack with you to every hole. With a lanyard for gink, nippers, and forceps I am able to fit all the other necessities without any overloaded pockets. Great waders and I’m hoping to make them last many more years.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I have about 15 days so far with these waders and I love them. I have the Medium Longs and I think its a great fit.. I'm 5'11" 190 lbs. and they still leave me enough room for some layering in the winter. The hand warmer pocket has been great in the winter too.

    Thug life.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

These waders are awesome. I have seen so many people enjoy these. Especially when it comes to the durability and footprint. These were a gift but I have some feedback for y'all...

"The size is perfect following the size guide. I love 'em. The only thing I would add is something I loved on my hodgman's is a flip pocket that had a spot to store fly's with the pad. "

Here is Brad on the lower Provo River.

    Thug life.

Over - Under - All around the bomb!

Can you say the! These babies are water tight and leave you able to move like a yoga instructor gone manic. I am 6' and 180 lbs and the medium fit is oh so nice. I was on the river last weekend in the blowing snow and took a couple of bad spills boulder hopping icy rocks, and the sonics were sound, not to mention they helped put me on the big browns! I was surprised at the abuse they took without even showing signs of mis-steps. The fit is snug when layered up(wore a capaline layer, fishing shirt, fleece and a sofshell under the waiters), but felt no restriction in movement. The reinforced knees and butt are key for the true adventure seeker. If you are rock hopping on the river and are not scared to jump that barbed wire fence, then look no further - these are the digs for you. I am super psyched on the Sonic!!!

Great waders. Good maneuverability and definitely keep the water out. I've stood in water a little over waste high for over an hour and come out as dry as I went in. The seams are great because you don't have to worry about the stitching allowing water through, and the fit is great. I am 5'8" and 150 lbs. and the medium fit me perfectly. I don't like restriction so they do have a little room to move around if someones a little bigger than me.

Just to add to this now that I've had these for a couple years.

I would prefer a small over a medium at my size. The baggy legs have started to drive me nuts. I also am on my second pair as the first ones developed a weird leak in the foot - Redington Warranty was on-point and hooked me up with no problems at all.

The pockets are NOT waterproof at all. I had a phone in one of the pockets i thought was waterproof and it ended up sitting in rice for 2 days after... Overall i'm still very impressed with the value you get out of these. Orvis uses the same technology on their waders (sonic welding) so it's obviously made to work well.

Dry As A Bone; Light As A Feather.

This is my third pair of waders and, by far, the very best. They fit well, are very light in weight and the accompanying felt pants provide all the warmth needed in a cold stream. With a little care, they should last me long enough to make the higher price worth it.

These waders are bomber. I'm pretty tough on my gear, and needed a pair of waders that I didn't have to worry about when climbing over logs, or through bushes, etc., and these were just the ticket. The 5 layer nylon around the legs and seat, plus the sonic welded seams gives me all the confidence I need to get to the perfect spot without worrying about what I have to go through getting there.

I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs and the Medium Long fits me perfectly. I have plenty of room for extra layers, but not so much that I don't feel secure when wading, or look like I've put on an extra 40lbs after securing the wading belt.

At half the price of anything similar from Patagucci and the rest, and 10 times more durable, you can't go wrong. Who needs Merino Wool lined booties anyhow?

I will say, if there's two things I'd improve here, it'd be the gravel guard boot clip (just way too hard to secure to my boots...tho' doable with a little elbow grease) and a loop or clip on the back to attach my net. Other than that, these waders have it all—durability, comfort, storage, and the right price.

        Get after it son!

        Best ones yet.

The Redington Sonic-pro waders are the best bang for your buck. They run true to size with the right amount of extra room for layering on those colder days. I have put these waders through some nasty things and they held up, and kept me dry. They breath well keeping you dry and comfortable in all weather. The wader suspender can be removed and the waders converted to pants by rolling down the chest.

Bottom Line: they're comfortable and durable.

          Unanswered Question

I'm looking to buy some waders but have a few concerns. I'm 6'4, 165 lbs, and wear a size 13 shoe, 32" waist, 34" inseam, and 38" chest. I've worn waders in the past and in order to get the sock to fit I had to go to an XXL (I could have fit 2 of me in there.) I'm wondering if there are any out there that are slim enough, long enough, and will feet my big feet. also I'm in Skagway AK so there is nowhere near by where I can try any on unfortunately.
