Will these work for running or are there a better pair? And also, the sizing, there are two sizes, 25 and 30. From what I can find, if I am a woman who weighs about 125, even with gear on, I should be ok with the 25?

Go with the Atlas race snowshoe 22 in, or another shoe specifically designed for running. These shoes are worn by the pros. Check out the reviews.

Very good Quality - Poor binding design

Binding does not properly hold the heel in place when traversing a slope. Heel will slowly migrate off the snowshoe until you end up pigeon-toed. Everything else about their snowshoes are top notch. I would recommend for recreational use only. Look elsewhere if you are a climbing mountains with them.
