highly recommended

This is a fantastic helmet. It is lightweight, but tough. Super low profile design, so you don't look stupid wearing it. It has a very basic design and pattern, nothing to flashy. It runs a bit small though. Im usually a large, but this large fit tight. I would recommend going a size up.

great helmet, very comfortable, very warm and looks awesome

Do Oakley Crowbars fit well with this...

Do Oakley Crowbars fit well with this helmet?

Responded on

Yes, they will fit great. Due in part to two reasons: The Oakleys have the strap mounted to the outside of their frame (this way it doesn't try to pull your goggle out to fit around your helmet) and also because of the fairly flat top profile on the crowbar. They will sit snuggly under the mini-brim.

If you want an absolutely seamless fit try the Anon realms, Anon Hawkeyes, or Anon Figments and Majestics... As these goggles are designed in conjunction with the RED helmets.

I have the SkullCandy Red Subwoofer EarPads...

I have the SkullCandy Red Subwoofer EarPads which I bought last year for my Mutiny Helmet, will they fit this helmet as well?

Responded on

no sorry dude they arent compatible...this helmet uses a way different system (quick clip II Vs. quick clip I)

This helmet is supposed to Audio/Subwoofer...

This helmet is supposed to Audio/Subwoofer Ear Pad Accessory Compatible, but I am looking at it and It appears the you can not interchnage the ear pads. Is there a special process?

Responded on

There are just tabs that hold the pads into the shell, you can very easily pull those out with a little force, and then slide the pads off the strap, you can see the loops holding them on at the bottom of the pad.

Super Light

This is the lightest helmet I could find that fits me well - low profile, not everywhere on the mountain (like the G10 MX this year). No vents to fill with snow (they're internal under the brim).

Tip - don't buy audio earpieces. Take a pair of earbuds and shove them through the holes inside the earpieces - works perfect.

The theory weighs 408.23 grams (size large).

will it protect on big falls?

will it protect on big falls?

Responded on

I guess it depends on how big. At some point, I don't think a helmet matters.

Freakin Amazing Dial In System & Light!

Killer helmet. It does fit smaller but you have to make sure you open up the zipper on the back neck padding and slide the ratchet system all the way over on both sides. It has a sizing system in it like a cycling helmet. Once I opened it up all the way it fit much better but it still fits snug compared my size Large Mutiny helmet or my previous HiFi helmet I had. Considering the adjustability of this helmet, you could easily size up and dial the fit in to make up for the larger size, it would work no problem. Definitely the most advanced boarding helmet and lightest on the market I would guess. Nice and low profile as is almost like a modified HiFi meets Bad Lieutenant helmet in regards to looks. Just buy it but you might want to size up, my Large fits with it dialed out all the way but it's still a little snug on the forehead (so instead of 58-60cm, it might be 57.5-59.5cm).

Quick Clip 2

For those who have audio ear pads make sure you have ones that work with this. These use the quick clip 2s and not the first generations. I have the Motorola BT headset and these will not attach to this helmet and Burton has no plans fixing this. Also I have a big head and an xl Hi Fi helmet fits a little snug but this thing will not fit at all. You might want to size up or at least go to a shop and try them on first.

Protection in Style

Finally a helmet that fits well, keeps me toasty warm no matter what conditions I am shredding/skating in. This helmet has 3 key features..

1- WEIGHT - By far one of the lightest helmets out there, and it doesn't compromise function or durability. When my helmet is on I don't know its there.

2- Goggles - Every goggle I own, (SMITH, ELECTRIC, ANON, VONZIP) works flawlessly and with this design you won't get gaper gap.

3- No Mr. EGGhead - Most helmets made me feel like I was Humpty Dumpty when I would ride, this helmet fits comfortably and I don't get any resistence when whipping my head back to watch my buddie hit my cliff line.
